Reviews For Windowsill Confessions
It's jolting and takes you out of the story when the same thing could be expressed through character actions or just a mention. For example if Snape just thought "I remember that fear" when Harry reacts a certain way towards an adult or something of the like. It'd easily convey a connection of abuse between them that we don't need to be showed through flashback. It's faster and feels less like you're holding the reader's hand.
