This was really excellent. A very impressive story and well written to boot. I can't wait to see more of this!

Author's Response: Thank you so much. I am humbled by your words, and grateful for the encouragement.

Poor Severus. Change of any kind is never easy and he isn't used to all these emotions. I think he will master them though it may take some time. And he, Harry and Prince will become a family. It should be an interesting journey.

Author's Response: Thank you so much for reading, and for taking the time to share your thoughts with me. Change is not easy, and dealing with pesky emotions, when you've shut yourself off to them, can make it even more trying.

I am enjoying severus' attempt to deal with emotions he has locked away in self preservation. now that it is relatively safe, the emotions won't be denied and i look forward to reading how severus deals with them and the changes that will result. will he give his grandfather and harry a chance or will he decide to hold his grudges?

Author's Response: Very good question that makes me wonder if what I've written is sufficient, and if it will satisfy readers. I am grateful for your readership, and appreciative of your feedback. Thank you so much.

Wow very moving chapter but I really did enjoy reading it. I look forward to Harry and Severus breaking some more ice so that somehow they can become a family. Grandfather will do wonders for both of them and them for Grandfather. Is Harry after the adoption going to call Severus by familial name?

Author's Response: Very good question, and one that I did not address in the initial writing of this story, which is why I've been slow in updating, because I've been reconfiguring portions of this story. Thankyou so much for your kind words, and for your encouragement. I do hope you will enjoy the next part, though it does not contain an answer to your question.

Wow, this is amazing. I truly hope that you'll continue this story. I looked to see if you posted it on Fanfiction but you hadn't. I'd love to follow this story on there. ^^

Charming story and excellent writing style. Keep up the wonderful writing!

Author's Response: I had initially posted it on ff.net, but some of the people there were less than kind in their responses I had written, and I decided that it wasn't worth the stress, or the negative feelings it was giving me, to keep it up there. I am grateful for your kind words and readership, as well as your encouragement.

Whew! I was afraid that Severus was going to lash out physically (wouldn't blame him). It's easy to imagine Harry winning over someone fast when there's no "Boy-Who-Lived" nonsense in the way. Perhaps it would be best for Severus to have a slight breakdown later on with his grandfather in private, just to further the healing process. Just a thought. You're doing good.

    Author's Response:

Thank you so much for reading, and for sharing your thoughts with me. A breakdown would probably be a good thing - even though breakdowns, when they are happening, rarely feel good until well afterward when one can see clearly through the heartache and pain. In my initial writing of this story, nothing of the sort happens, and neither did what was in this chapter. I have been re-working some of the events of this story, but am not sure if I will include what you've suggested or not.

    Thank you so much!

This was an amazing chapter. I really thought you did a fantastic job on the various and honest emotions that Severus had. Yes, he would be very jealous of Potter and glad he realized it.

Author's Response: Thank you so much. I'm glad that you thought I did a good job of dealing with the different emotions, and that you felt that the jealousy was appropriate, or understandable. I think that, when some people grow up in an abusive situation, and they see someone else rescued from it, there can sometimes be feelings of jealousy (at least, that's something that I've seen happen in a couple of situations, it's not always the norm though). Thank you for reading, and for taking the time to share your thoughts.
