I wonder what Harry's thinking now. As usual, he's glossed over the understanding Severus has had the same type of things happen to him, and would be supportive no matter what Harry admitted doing or thinking.
Let's hope Severus has a sixth sense for when Harry's about to do something epicly stupid.
Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing! Yes, it is very difficult for Harry to comprehend someone empathising with him, so he continues to remain entirely too self-sufficient. And yes, Harry is about to do something 'epicly stupid' (I like the way you worded that :), and Snape is not going to be too pleased.

Harry's scene with Hedwig was neat. She should be a good confidant for him. Sometimes it's easier to talk to an animal than a person. Though he is making progress with Snape. I'm surprised that after his admitting to his magic possibly killing someone, that he wasn't able to just ask Severus what happened to the Dursleys. Though that may be too much for him right now after the last talk.
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked the Hedwig scene. She wasn't originally part of the plot, but I'm glad I added her in. As much as Harry is begninning to open up to Snape, independence and mistrust is deeply rooted in him, so it often doesn't even occur to him to ask for help; he automatically assumes that he needs to do everything himself, and that no one will be able to provide for him what he needs other than himself.

That was another great chapter and well worth the wait! I am so glad Snape now knows how bad Harry's past is and can start to help him properly. Well done again and I can't wait to see if Harry runs away and the results if he does/attempts to!
