Alright, so first off I read this in about four hours. I even woke up around 3:00 this morning to get an hour in before going back to bed I was so compelled to read it.
I have read my share of Severus/Harry stories. I have no hesitation when I say yours is the best story I have read. It is just completely and utterly wonderful. Your Harry is the most realistic representation for how one should think, feel and act in response to an upbringing such as his. The way your Severus handles Harry's situation is perfect. The way you brought these two together was breathtaking. I am in complete awe of this story. Everything about it is fantastic. Your vocabulary is extraordinary. It was just a joy to read. Thank you so much for writing this. I do hope that you continue it to completion.

I do fully intend to finish the story, but with my semester just beginning (I do not recommend taking microbiology and anatomy simultaneously) it might take longer than I'd like. Thanks again.

Was Dudley gay, worried that Vernon would try and beat the freakishness out of him like he tried with Harry??
Author's Response: Interesting question. I was just thinking along the lines of him being just less than the man's man his father wanted him to be. He could have been gay, or he could have been interested in music or art, or just less aggressive than he presented himself. I think that at eight or nine he was a bit young to have determined his sexuality. You never know, though...

You have captured my attention like no other fics have. Your character portrayals of Severus and Harry are perfect.
Also thank you for writing with good grammar and spelling. Nothing distracts me from a good story more than poor spelling and common grammatical errors.
