I really liked this! It is nice that nothing happens all of sudden (a big problem with many abusive!Dursleys -fanfics) and there is room for characters to develop. I also liked how you decided that there must be a therapist to help Harry given his horrible situation.
I hope you'll keep on writing. :)
Author's Response: thank you! I do plan on continuing to write it, the update has just taken quite a while with school and life. It should happen eventually though.

I really like that this story has moved on from the abuse and is focusing on recovery. It's also great that a professional therapist has been brought in and Sev has some training to deal with issues of abuse.
Author's Response: Thanks in so glad you like it! I wanted Severus involved in the recovery, so I wanted him to have some experience, but I didn't want to deviate too much from canon and make him a complete professional. And it would be completely unrealistic to not have some kind of professional helping Harry. The rest of the story won't focus too much on therapy itself but definitely on the recovery. Drawing out the abuse does not make sense in my mind, it doesn't make as good a story. I'm thinking about posting a couple scenes that I had thought up in the course of writing though. I expect only about 4 chapters more for this story though, which means we'll be skipping some through time, so it won't be an incredibly detailed recovery I guess. Hopefully no one minds. Wonderfully well written! I love the story line - poor Harry! The drawings are great! can't wait for more!
Author's Response: I'm so so glad you like my writing and the story-line! It's so very encouraging to hear. And glad you liked the added drawings too. I drew them originally to give myself a better picture of what was happening, but decided you might all like to see too.

I was glad that you included Harry's pictures. I especially liked Harry and the snakes though the one showing a fat Vernon Dursley was good, too. Harry seems to be slowly adapting to his new surroundings. If he will be staying with Severus, there will be more changes coming.
