Ahh all the feels for little Harry... No one can blame him for trying to get his fathers attention like that.
I hope that Severus realizes that his way of caring for Harry won't be enough on the long run.
And for those who said that the spanking was too much:
I got disciplined like that back when I was a child (I am now 22 years old) and even though I think that Snape was a bit harsh I do not think that he was way too hard on Harry.
Snape himself said that he was angry and I bet he was even more worried so that influenced his punishment alot. Furthermore Harry said that he was sore, no more no less. I would be annoyed if he would bounce back to his normal self after a spanking.
So, thank you for this chapter and please Don't get discouraged by those who think that Snape was to hard on Harry. You are the only One who knows how this story will progress and maybe we will meet a loving Snape later on?
He just has to learn how to be a good father and I believe that he will be one for Harrys sake.

I'm just curious if you have children of your own? Typically parents don't give more than three or four spankings to their children at the most and in many places it's the law that you can't leave a red mark for more than 5 seconds on the child's backside or it's considered child abuse. That being said, I know Snape isn't a kind man and is probably not inclined to be a kind father in this particular story, but I think the spanking was unrealistic and overdone and that the point could have come across in less spankings.

Oh, oh! Will Sev get soft and actually hug the child? I don't event know if I wish he would or not since maybe it need a bit more of bonding first...?

Another fantastic chapter, I can't wait for Chapter 3, I want to read more now!
I love how Severus made Harry learn not to provoke others into hitting him... I still really like that Harry calls Severus 'Father', the name suits him more then 'Dad' does, I hope Harry carries on using 'Father' as the story progresses.
Well done, I am looking forward to your next update!
I love this story so much. Dad Snape stories are my favorite, especially when dealing with little Harry! The dynamic you've portrayed so far is so interesting... Snape thinking it's best for the boy to stay away, although I'm pretty sure his heartstrings are taught by now, and Harry wanting a family, just like always. I hope Severus takes him soon! I eagerly await the next update!
