I just wanted to leave a quick note to say I really admire the depth of emotion conveyed in your writing, as well as your understanding of how your characters are feeling. Your ability to convey this through words enough to make me feel almost as though I AM your suffering protagonist is absolutely enviable. I check for updates almost every day.
Wow. Snape is harsh but I like it. It is expected from him and he really stays in character. I love your story so much as well as Snape and Dumbledore relation. Hope you update soon, thanks

You're writing a new story!!! This makes my whole month a million times brighter. (I *may* have read LADTH 3 or 4 times. It's my comfort fic.)
Anyway, new story - I love it so far! The way the Severus-Dumbledore conversation echoed Harry and Snape was great. Poignant scenes this chapter. I love Harry calling Snape "Father," and his cheekiness, and the heartbreaking bits describing how he's touch-starved. He's a sweet kid. He often seems younger than 10, but that makes some sense considering his upbringing - and even if it didn't, I wouldn't much care :). (On second thought, is he 9? If so he seems a little more age-appropriate.) The structure of the first few sections was so endearing, with Severus watching over Harry and Harry provoking responses from him. Sweet.
Severus' inner monologue is especially wonderful. I have some serious reservations about him leaving Harry with the Dursleys and the emotional harm that's already done. But his Death-Eater-friends reasoning makes sense, and I am excited to see how Severus and Harry navigate their relationship and deal with how the Dursleys have affected Harry.
I hope you continue to enjoy writing this and keep posting so I can find out what happens next! But no pressure, I know the muse can sometimes take vacations without warning. I'm glad to have stumbled upon this tonight. Good to see you back on P & S.

This is amazing. I love this story so much! The detail and the heart-breaking points of view are so good. Don't ever stop.
Excellent chapter. Albus and Severus needed that conversation, and there was no place for Harry. It was nice to get his reaction to Tilly though - she'll make sure he doesn't get the wrong idea about elves.
Wonderful chapter. I love the characters, the emotions, and that Severus has finally taken Harry home. I SO wish I could write something half as good. Must have missed this chapter when I was on holiday, but the bonus is there's another one to read.

Really loved the conversation between Albus and Severus! Can't wait for more interaction between Harry and Severus, and also Severus and his mentors! How will McGonagall react? I'm really intrigued by this story.
