First Bellatrix just messed everything up. Harry too. Poor Snape, he just agreed to kill Dumbledore!!! What a terrible outcome for him. And then Harry had to mess everything up by making sounds and making Snape nervous and just go for the Unbreakable Vow. And then all the books! The books are on fire! Nooooooooooooo! And then, Snape had to leave his family! Noooooooooo! And then he went back and found them, but now the roof is caving in! Noooooo!!!!!! I really hope that Dumbledore and the calvary, namely the Weasley's, are going to come to the rescue, like now. Oh man. This is just terrible! Burns are one of the worst things to suffer. And now the whole family is likely to end up with terrible, permanent, disfiguring scars from the burns! Please tell me that someone put up a shield charm in time!!! Absolutely a favorite story. Thank you for all the updates! I'm loving following along and reading it! I am so nervous as to what happens next! PLease update when you can!
Author's Response: Another cliffy... I'm sorry. I don't plan on them, but I don't know why my mind loves to end a chapter that way. As for Bellatrix loosing her mind, I wanted to drop a few subtle hints to possibly explain why dat B so cray cray. They may have been TOO subtle, so I'm thinking that a one-shot may be coming... I don't know... We'll see. Anyway, thank you so much for the review!! :)
That being said, I still think the story is great, but there's just one thing I can't get over-- Severus' love interest being named Lily, and looking like her. I mean... the story between THIS Lily and Lily Potter is practically the same. Same name, same looks, both witches, both ignorant about their powers before Severus came into their lives-- I found it concerning, in the sense that Severus would replace Lily Potter in his mind with this Lily. I also find it really odd that Harry is so quick to call her "mom." I think that if you had taken this a whole lot more slowly, it could have been wonderful, but they've gone from such animosity, Severus especially, to being a family sitcom. It just seems very OOC for Severus. I hope you take any of this personally-- this is a really great story, and I certainly see the appeal, but I just had to ask about those points. :) Author's Response: Nah, no offense taken. :) I welcome all reviews. Honestly, the reason I made Lily... well, LILY is because I couldn't see Severus giving her the time of day otherwise. Had she been anyone else, looked any different, been someone that didn't IMMEDIATELY catch his attention, I don't think he would have bothered with - or even noticed - her. When I first began this story, I had no intention of introducing a love interest. She just jumped out at me one day, and I went with it. Because my goal has always been a selfish one: I hate how it ended for Snape. It was extremely tragic. And although the tragedy is a large part of why I love his character so much, I have always believed that he deserved happiness after everything he sacrificed. You're right. Perhaps if I had taken the time to block this story out in entirety before writing it, I could have drawn the characters out a bit. But unfortunately I'm not that organized. The story ideas pop into my brain, and I just kind of plop down in front of the computer and write whatever comes to mind. Regarding this particular story, I've made no secret about the fact that - although I love and appreciate that others like this story so much - I'm not doing it for them. I'm doing it for me. And I'm happy with it. :) So cheers, my friend. You can't please 'em all, and that's cool. Life would be extremely boring if everyone shared the same ideas and opinions.
