Woah! What a unique and imaginative premise!

Fantastic buildup of Harry's background in this chapter. The poor kid never learned how to play with other kids, how to manage his own emotions, how to question things. He had been coddled and spoiled for sure, but I think he is still a good kid. It didn't seem like he tried to get to mischief. But having only caretakers he liked is going to be a problem once he meets Snape.

I wonder if Julie and Mitchell are going to be able to visit or write to Harry. In a way, they have been his most consistent parents. What a mess Harry's life and upbringing has been so far. I wonder what it would of been like if Harry grew at Home until he went to Hogwarts, and if he had to return there every summer.

    Fantastic start!

Author's Response: Jan! I have to confess, I had not considered keeping Julie or Mitchell in the story. As soon as I read your comment I realized what a mistake that would have been. Thank you! You will be seeing at least one of them again. Glad you enjoyed it!

I love your original and creative prompt that still makes Harry a victim of exploitation but also gives a possibility that he's spoiled
