I've been there. My dad was a drug addict. He got me using. I am sober now, but I do remember that longing, the desperation.

Addiction and recovery are intense experiences, indeed. I like how Harry agrees to get help - a very significant step in the healing process!

Thanks for writing and posting. It's an intense story.
Snape was really calm and did his best. Draco was really supportive. It's a little bit surprising at how mature he is. Perhaps he's growing up or has other reasons.
Harry was really well behaved for what he went through. I'm surprised he didn't try to escape try to find more drugs in his dorm, or in a secret hiding place. The addiction is pretty intense.
As it says, this is the first step. :)
