This was a nice start to your story. I can feel the loss and desolation of the survivors at Hogwarts. I agree that it’s an interesting change to see Snape in a more vulnerable state.
Author's Response: I do plan on extending/re-writing the first 5-6 chapters at some point, as it does not reflect my current writing style (I grew a lot with this story!)
I always had to ponder how the post-battle events would be, and I tried to keep that period of time very realistic. Everyone is in a state of grief and mourning. And thank you! I just think since Severus has lost his purpose and his mission finally completed, he'd be struggling the most with this 'victory' simply because he doesn't feel victorious. He lost so much of himself doing what he did.
Great first chapter! I love your version of Snape, so unique. We don't often get to see him in a position of weakness. If I were Harry I would bring Madame Pomfrey and McGonagall anyway.
Author's Response: Thank you so much! <3 I think after being strong for so long, now he finds he no longer has a purpose, and his world has come crashing down. He has essentially lost everything.
