I spent the better part of the afternoon reading this fic; which is utterly amazing, you've done a great job on it. The best part about coming into a fic part-way through is, of course, that I have all these wonderful chapters to read. The only thing bad about it is that I'm eager for more....ASAP.

I'm angry at the adults on Harry's behalf for all the decisions and actions they've taken on his behalf without consulting him, but I like that you've explained their actions in a logical way. Dumbledore was wrong to do some of what he did, but was not irrational. I understand Harry's reluctance to trust, so I smiled when, despite this, he showed that he still cared for Dumbledore by his reluctance to stun him, even though he may not trust the man.

One thing that really has me curious is your portrayal of Snape. In the beginning of your fic, he didn't seem to be such a bad guy. When Harry was making potions in that lab in the early mornings, and Snape discovered him, the man was civil. He complimented Harry's potion as Harry was leaving (although he promised he'd of taken more points of Harry then would be given for the potion). But when Snape cast Legillmens on Harry, he seemed to do it out of cruel intentions. The two events seem to conflict each other....so I'm curious. Is Snape going to be a good guy or a bad guy in this fic? I'm hoping he'll be good; and gain a new understanding of Harry when he goes to stay at the Dursleys.

This fic is all-around amazing though, I must say. I like that Harry's super!power isn't instantly perfect; he has to practice with it and get used to it, it has both positive and negative effects on him.

Another chapter will make my day, whatever day it may come on.

I thought this was a great story - and I'm going to wait for the update! I specially loved the novel ideas - the 'magic taking' and the Weasley punishment. I don't get how long Harry had empathy for though? It was really encouraging to see Jars of Clay and Switchfoot quoted! (:

I've read this before; I'm not quite sure if Chapter 12 was up then or not. Frankly, I don't know *why* I read this again. It's horrible - I seem to cry at least once a chapter, the actions of the adults make me want to scream and rage and beat something bloody, and I *can't* *stop* *reading*. It rips me up inside, but I can't help myself.

It makes me so *angry* on Harry's behalf. They decide what's best for him without involving him at all, they drug him, they coerce him into telling the truth. They never seem to learn from their mistakes! The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. It makes me hate them all so very much, and I *ache* for Harry, who gets shattered again and again.

Honestly, at this point, I think Harry would be justified in telling them to fuck off and taking a vow of silence. Or this would be a great time for an insertion of the inheritance cliche, and Harry could vanish to a Fidelius-charmed manor and any further encounters with those hypocritical assholes could be on his terms. Pipe dream, I know, but I wish he had an escape hatch.

Honestly, every adult in his life has lost his trust through his or her own act of idiocy, and I'm angry enough that I hope they never get it back. I'm not a forgiving person, especially when it comes to Harry.

At this point, July 1 2007, I'm not sure if the story will ever be updated again - after two years, I'd pretty much call a story abandoned - but I hope you do update. I'm sure I would have to break out the tissues - again - but it's a compelling story that I don't think you're even a quarter of the way through.

    Good luck and good writing!
