This is a mild parody, possibly even satire (of both the books and some common fanfiction themes). This started because I hadn’t written my 500 words for the day but it was late and I just wanted to go to sleep, so I started writing about someone who just wanted to go to sleep. And then Severus stuck his nose in and things got out of hand. This is fairly standard writing practice where I come from; nothing ever goes as planned
