Sort of a prelude to a coming fic (working title ‘Ammunition’, 'Home Truths' series) set during years 4 and 5. The series has a very detailed backstory that clashes horribly with HBP/DH canon. I can't say when the main fic will be posted, since I've been stuck on Chapter Six for a while and I don't want to start posting the fic till I've progressed further. But since this could also be read as a standalone I've gone for it. There may or may not be more one-shots before then--I've got a couple partly written but they're not about Harry and Severus specifically, so I can't post them here. I'll note their existence and location in the series summary though when they get posted.
