It's year six and Harry struggles with the visions he's inherited from Voldemort. Dumbledore is reaching the end of his time and needs to ensure someone will take care of Harry after the headmaster is gone. An incident in the Forbidden Forest where Snape must care for an injured Harry without using magic sets in motion far reaching changes in their lives and in the magical world.

To reiterate: This story only takes into account Book 5 canon. Some minor book 6 and 7 references have slipped in during revision, but not in significant ways.
Story contains quite a bit of spell violence as part of dueling and battles. Letter of the law rape tag and sexual assault/harrasment warning for off-scene and minor incidents such as kissing a sleeping person who does not want to be kissed. Language is mild with just bit of swearing. Any sexual interaction is off-scene and mostly implied through indirect language.

At the end of this chapter is an extra chapter that was written in May of 2009 at the request of xrayjuliet who very generously outbid others on the Support Stacie Auction for the prerogative of determining the plot of it. It was written after Resonance was completed and was originally posted alone. But, looking back at old comments, it seems like it’s best put in where it sequentially belongs, despite the shift in style and tone.
There’s too much history with the old chapter numbers to put it into sequence and make it 24, so it is added as an addendum to 23.
(In hindsight, I don’t know why I didn’t name it 23 and 3/4. Weird.)

Okay, apologies. I have a last amazing beta going over this story for final edit. And I'm finally fixing something I should have fixed earlier. Rogan and Rodgers are way too similar of names. I was going to make them sort of twin-ish friend Aurors so the names made weird sense. That didn't happen. Now it's just confusing. So Tristan Rogan is now Tristan Logan.
