When Harry finds an injured Snape on his doorstep and must hide him from the Dursleys, he has no idea that this very, very bad day will be the start of something good.
Harry and Snape are thrown together by annoying relatives, a series of strange dreams, and Voldemort's latest hunt for Harry, but their greatest challenge may well be surviving each other. This will be a long summer unless the two can find a way to work together. A slow-burn enemy-to-mentor story.

- One thing that I just wanted to mention, not that it's very noteworthy or anything, but all I could think about while reading this story was the song called Give Us a Little Love by Fallulah. One particular line in the song is, "Give us a little love, give us a little love! We never had enough, we never had enough!" I almost felt like that those two sentences really reflected the entire tone of the book, with both Severus and Harry looking for love and acceptance even if they didn't realize or accept it at first.
A disabled Harry comes to Hogwarts story. Everyone expects him to be like his dad, but how can he be with such a different past? A Slytherin Harry takes on Hogwarts in an unusual way.

- Lupin, you better hope that you don’t run into James and Lily in the afterlife. I’m sure they will make you wish you could die again. If someone, especially a now-former friend, did that to my kid, I would literally tear them apart, and then put them back together so I could do it again a thousand more times until they had beyond wished that they would die.
Neglect can be one of the most painful forms of abuse, being ignored by your guardians when all you want is love hurts. No one seems to care if Harry lives or dies so he spends a lot of time wandering around Little Whinging on his own. His friendly neighbor seems to think that this is dangerous. If only someone paid enough attention to Harry to tell him that his neighbor is a little too friendly...

- I really feel like I understand how Harry feels about his House. I also feel, most of the time, that I am not particularly excluded, but I also sort of feel like I just exist. I can count on one hand the number of people who seek me out personally to do something that is not school related because they want to, not because they feel like they have to.
