"Well," Harry said in a very small voice, "it’s just a few plates."
Two seconds of silence, and then the mirror fell. It fell straight to the floor and flopped forward. Harry heard the glass of the mirror shatter underneath the frame.
"And a mirror," Harry barely whispered.
Five seconds of quiet. And the whole wall fell backwards.
The entire wall fell back into the room behind it. Even through the haze of dust, Harry could see the wall lying in chunks on the floor of – oh, no, Snape’s study. The wall had fallen into Snape’s study, Snape’s sodding study!
"Oh, come on!" Harry yelled.

At the Dursleys the summer after Sirius' death, Voldemort sends werewolves to attack Harry. Taken to Grimmauld Place by his rescuer, Severus Snape, Harry devises a disastrous plan to rescue Sirius from the veil, resulting in his being transfigured into a baby. Snape is the only one who can brew the potion to restore him, and is the only one to realize that Harry still retains his 16 year-old-mind. Over the summer and the first two potions which restore him to age eleven, Harry begins to feel that Snape is the only one who understands and can protect him. Is he right or has his deaging muddled his thinking? AU story for 6th year.

Has this story truly not been updated since 2007????? Oh, I REALLY wish it had been completed! Is there any hope the author is still writing and will finish it some day?
Snape rescues Harry from the Dursley's and ends up stuck with him as his ward for the whole rather eventful summer. Sparks fly, but Severus ends up seeing more in Harry than he'd ever thought possible.

- Fellow fans, this story does continue on A03: just so you know. It gets really crazy after this, though, and I personally don't like to read further. It's not bad at all, and pretty clever: just different.
When Harry finds an injured Snape on his doorstep and must hide him from the Dursleys, he has no idea that this very, very bad day will be the start of something good.
Harry and Snape are thrown together by annoying relatives, a series of strange dreams, and Voldemort's latest hunt for Harry, but their greatest challenge may well be surviving each other. This will be a long summer unless the two can find a way to work together. A slow-burn enemy-to-mentor story.

- Thank you so much for continuing this story. I have made it to this chapter in one go (I was hoping to read the entire fic tonight, but I realized it's going to take many hours longer), and I couldn't imagine it suddenly cutting off. It must have been hard for your original readers to think you'd abandoned it: I'm glad I don't have to wait 12 years for it to continue!
That said, thank you for your dedication in coming back after so long. It gives me hope some other seemingly abandoned takes will also be finished!
I haven't commented on any of the previous chapters in my greed to continue the story, but you get 10 chocolate frogs for each of them! Your writing is excellent and the story is gripping.
