About me:

I've been reading fanfiction for years, and I've written a few pieces in other fandoms, as well as some drabbles and ficlets for the HP fandom, but mostly I have been a reader. For the Boy Who Has Everything is my first attempt at a full-length fic. Three Times Trouble is a response to my sudden inexplicable enjoyment of kidfic.

My favorite characters are Remus Lupin, Severus Snape, Sirius Black, Neville Longbottom, and the elder two Weasley children, Bill and Charlie (whom we just don't see enough of, unfortunately). Many of the younger characters became more interesting to me as they grew older.

I like to theorize about how things work, especially things that aren't well explained in the books. Such as:

- How and why does a Patronus take the shape it does, when a wizard first learns the spell? How would a Patronus change its shape (e.g.; Tonks' and Snape's)? Does it take the shape of the other person's Patronus, or just a shape that the first person associates with them? If the other person is still alive, does that mean that now there are two identical Patronuses?

- Since some wands are specifically good for certain types of magic, does that mean wands choose their owner based on an inborn talent or potential?

- If people have minds, souls, and magic, how distinct are the three things? A piece of soul seems to possess both a mind and magic, although it isn't clear how much of each comes from the actual soul fragment and how much is purposely spelled into the object that contains the soul fragment. The horcruxes that reacted poorly to being messed with (e.g.: diary, locket) were most likely spelled to do that. However, the horcrux in Harry managed to impart magical skills, suggesting there may be some magic within the soul itself.

- What makes some magic stick around for centuries and not lose power, while other magic wears off over time, or ends abruptly when the spell-caster dies?

Interesting beginning so far... you've hooked me and I'm glad there's already another chapter!

    Author's Response: Thank you!

Very good. I like the way you portray the characters.

    Author's Response: Thank you!

Intriguing start! I'll look forward to finding out what curse Draco used.

    Author's Response: Thank you!

Harry Potter is badly abused by the Dursleys, but he finds a new way to defend himself. Could this be "the Power the Dark Lord knows not"? Who is going to help Harry? Harry-Snape bonding/mentorship. AU Pre-HBP

Very nicely done for a prologue... they are hard to do! I feel so bad for Harry.

Author's Response: Thanks for your review! The prologue was the worst one to write, really. You know how you want to develop the story, but you don't know how to start. It's really angsty, those three pages took years to write ^_^

I love your take on Lupin. I also love that he's the one taking Harry to Diagon Alley because they had some very good interaction. Harry's letter was nice, although I wonder how wise it is to sign it "Harry James Potter" since that's unlikely to stir any positive feelings in Snape! I can't wait for Snape to come into this.

    Author's Response:

Well... I actually rewrote that letter a couple of times ^_^

The signature was a difficult point, because I did not know if I had to let Harry sign as HP or HJP. But in the end I decided for HJP for two reasons: first of all it's a way for Harry to state that he acknowledges he is his father's son and that he cannot change that, but on the other hand it also puts weight on his apology for what his father and godfather did. It's a sort of "I know who I am and I respect my family, although they were not perfect". But it does have the effect of making Severus angry. Harry wanted to enforce his apology, but Severus chooses to accept it as an insult instead.

Aww. A good way to find out what Harry's up to... too bad it backfired so spectacularly. I feel bad for Snape.

    Author's Response:

Yup. Severus would never settle for anything less than spectacular, isn't it? :)

Our Snape is too good for little mistakes, so I had to find something big. But I do feel guilty. :)

Still feeling very bad for Snape... and Harry. Excellent chapter!

Author's Response: I really feel guilty as well for doing that to them, actually! But I'll make it up!

Your McGonagall is perfect. I loved Snape's story coming out. This was a wonderful chapter. I'll be eagerly waiting for more.

    Author's Response:

Thank you! I am so happy that you liked how I "sketched" the characters. It really was very difficult, but I am happy with the results now.

And I apologize for posting the new chapter so late. I had it almost done by April 15th, then I had to travel for over one month and when I came back I found that my desk at work was seriously risking breaking due to the heaps of paper on it. And it took more than one month to sort it all out. Now I can finally write again! Thanks for your patience!

Au: Second Year. A little bit of healthy snooping reveals some old documents that will have Harry's life quickly spiralling out of control and have him questioning: Who Am I?

Title: Chapter 1: I'm Curious... Just Curious 26 Mar 2008
Reviewer: Foolish Wishmaker (Signed)
Very promising start! I like how Harry's convincing himself he'll just satisfy his curiosity and that's all. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this story.

Author's Response: Curiosity killed the cat... hehehe! Harry is a curious boy by nature it isn't just going to stop. You may have noticed that 'my' Harry has a more darkly sardonic humour and isn't quite as stupid at times as the coventional Harry - (Just out of interest I could never understand why Harry and Ron just wait by the stupid car - and how did Ron get the blasted engine running... where were the keys?) More soon. Promise

A Harry who is not a reckless dimwit... oh my!

Perhaps that alone will make a big difference in the relations between Snape and Harry.

    Author's Response:

Perhaps... I just hate in when Harry is a 'reckless dimwit' (I might borrow that phrase sometime!)

     More soon.
