Because of a potion brewed by Dumbledore, Severus and Harry are trapped in their animagus forms with no memories. Severus, now called Shadow, adopts Harry, now called Viridian, as his own. What happens when Severus gets his memory back? Will he still care about his cub? This is set right before the end of Harry's first year at Hogwarts, although this is AU.

- I really wasn't expecting that reaction or the adoption. I hope who ever his brother is will give him a chance and Snape too.
Author's Response: Severus realized the year before that He could not blame the son for the actions of the parent plus he does not want to scare Harry by ragging about his mother so he is keeping his anger on the inside. Harry's brother will come into the story in a couple of chapters time with a surprisingly understanding nature.
Left with partial paralysis after being tortured by Voldemort, Severus is sent to Bell Point, a secure location on the seaside owned by the Order of the Phoenix. However, he is not the only one who will be there, for Harry, refusing to express his emotions regarding Sirius’ death, has unknowingly invoked an ancient kind of magic that will force him to deal with them. Deaged to four years old, he has to contend with a bitter and broken Snape, who, like Harry, is being forced to live in a body that does not work the way it used to. These two vastly different people have beat the odds many times over, and somehow prevailed in a world that has tried time and time again to destroy them. But the challenges they now face are nothing like they’ve ever seen before. Will they rise to the occasion, or become prisoners within themselves?

- I liked the beginning and look forward to where you go with it, and I am thankful that there isn't rape or malestration as there seems to be too much of that on this site and when it first opened it wasn't.
