I love the snake! She sounds like she'll be an amusing part of the future stories! I'm also impressed at how you write Harry; he seems more realistic given his history than he is when most authors write him. Snape is also very fun to read!

Author's Response: Thank you. I've tried to keep Harry IC, both as to from the books, and what he's been through. Miss Sarah's personality came with her name, and I expect that Harry will be carrying around antivenom in case of *ahem* accidents. Being an evil, mean, razor-totin' woman, she understands revenge, but not justice, so we may be dealing with snakebite victims if some people *cough*Draco*cough* aren't polite to her nestling. - This is an interesting take on everything. Overall, it's extremely well written, and I really like your use of Bible verses to forshadow the plot line in each chapter. I do believe this is a very orginal take on the Severitus idea. It's the only time I've seen James responsible for the event. I did have to laugh at your ideas of what would happen while high on different forms of drugs. I'm going to guess your father recited the Star Wars story, and your friend (high on illegal drugs) did the singing, which would leave you with the remaining incident, which I am currently blanking on. *Shrugs* of course, given that you're into fanfic, you might be telling yourself the story, too.

Actually... the Star Wars story part was inspired by my friend (who got high during work). She was mopping the store very happily in her own little world and she informed me that she was reading books in her head. The singing was me. The head-pillow... that's my dad.

- You have an interesting plot here, but I think it would be better as a work of original fiction, because I don't think Tobias, Severus or Harry has the background to be what you want them to be. I also think that more insight into the minds of everyone (a reaction, a thought, a quelled instinctive reaction, i.e. Vernon often calls Harry "Boy" in canon, therefore we would assume Harry's reaction to the term would not be pleasant. He should flinch or prevent the flinch several times when Tobias uses the term before making the adjustment, if ever.) Also, there are a lot of technical and spelling mistakes: "cloths" (washcloths?) instead of "clothes," "to" instead of "too," etc. Punctuation mistakes are frequent through the story, i.e. missing commas, semi-colons where they don't belong, etc. That being said, your plot for this story is a great one. Some parts are clearly inspired by outside influences (which is okay), and some ideas are clearly your own, most especially Tobias as a character and Severus as a psychologist. Keep writing, but I think you'd do better writing original fiction than fanfiction because of how you develop your characters.
Harry Potter heads back to Hogwarts for his fourth year...but not before several bad things happen. A rather ominous way to begin a year...

- I was under the impression that Neville's parents were tortured before or very shortly after Harry's parents were killed. After all, the Death Eaters were rounded up very shortly after Voldemort's demise, and no one would want to risk Azkaban yet again by revealing themselves as Death Eaters three years after Voldemort was destroyed. You're pretty good at writing, and you clearly have a spell-check program that you're using, but I would recommend a beta-reader to edit a few things a bit. You have a good command of some aspects of language (i.e. using Mister for Lucius and Master for Draco), but some parts of the storyline could use some work. Also, you might want to cite that you're taking a lot more story from the books than is typical in fanfiction. I'm not a copyright lawyer, but I think you might be pushing your luck.

- I'm interested to see where you take this story, but I will suggest you get a beta ready. You have several minor word swaps due to Spell Check ("minuet" instead of "minute," "defiantly" instead of "definitely") that would be caught be an attentive Beta. Over all, the story seems to be good; you have solid grammatical work and you seem to have a plot line set up in your head. It's a story with a lot of potential, and I would love to read more!
