Slytherin!
Snape wants to be Slytherin's new head of house. Harry wants a home. Dumbledore has a plan for these two. If Snape can prove he can take care of the 9 year old, the job is his. But taking care of a kid isn't as easy as it looks. As the young dark eyed Potions Professor tries to do his best, Harry learns what it means to have a good guardian, even if he isn't a perfect one.

- Your stories NEVER disappoint. I do hope the teacher reminded Severus that even high school kids are shown how to do things before being given homework! You don't just give them the book and send them on their way. And Harry is much younger than that. His toys are awesome, I would love a dragon myself. What was the box the toy shop owner put in the bag?

- Poor Harry, its tough to lose so many toys when you only have 5 things to begin with! Severus is doing a good job but did forget about a child's imagination. Maybe instead of a map, he could put up barriers that limit the area Harry can go.

- This is a really good story and I look forward to each update. I won't say I enjoy each update because this is not the kind of story you read to be entertained. That does not mean I don't like it, I think its very well done.
The ears of an elf are by far their most telling feature, but when they're missing and you're supposed to be a human.... nonbinary!Harry (if that isn't your cup of tea)

- I think this is just plain adorable! I realize you said updates on this would not be as frequent,but I look forward to them anyway. I like a tiny Harry and an elf? Awwwwww. Poor baby though, having his ears cut off.
Author's Response: I'm getting into some rather dark and drawn out parts of Electric Avenue, so I needed an adorable story to take my mind off it. I don't know why, but I always end up thinking of abused Harry as dramatically undersized compared to his classmates. Not like outside of the realm of possibility (though I did do a story like that which will have its sequel posted soon enough), but I just picture him as being noticeably shorter and too thin. And the ears... it breaks my heart when I see dogs with cropped ears, but I can imagine Vernon doing that to Harry too. Especially since Aunt Marge breeds bulldogs which are one of the most common breeds to have cropped ears.
Neglect can be one of the most painful forms of abuse, being ignored by your guardians when all you want is love hurts. No one seems to care if Harry lives or dies so he spends a lot of time wandering around Little Whinging on his own. His friendly neighbor seems to think that this is dangerous. If only someone paid enough attention to Harry to tell him that his neighbor is a little too friendly...

Remus kidnaps 10 year old Harry when Albus refuses to remove him from the Dursley’s abuse. Severus is sent to find them and bring Potter back and he's not happy about being used like Dumbledore's personal servant. A Snape mentors Harry fic with a lot of Remus, Weasley and Draco involvement. No slash in the story. No relationship between Severus and Remus. Note: Dumbledore isn't evil in this story, but he is not trusted by the main characters involved because of the decisions he’s made.

- This is a cute short story. It could definitely be turned into a multi-chapter but is complete on its own. Its nice to see Harry and Draco happy for once.
