    Jesus, that was beautiful.

The sequel to Vaccinations: Snape attempts to learn more about Harry's mysterious immune system but fails. Harry attempts to practice Occlumency and with Hermione's help, succeeds.

This was lovely and extremely well written, even more so than its prequel.

Harry is hurt and loses his voice. Will Snape help him find it again?

AAAAAGGGHHH. Just give up already, Severus, WE KNOW YOU HAVE A SOFT CANDY CENTER. This was funny and touching in equal measure. :-)

    Author's Response:

Hahaha he'll fight it till the end, and you know it.

But yes, he does have a soft gooey centre.  The question is -- is it nouget or caramel?

    Glad you liked it!

When Harry finds an injured Snape on his doorstep and must hide him from the Dursleys, he has no idea that this very, very bad day will be the start of something good.

Harry and Snape are thrown together by annoying relatives, a series of strange dreams, and Voldemort's latest hunt for Harry, but their greatest challenge may well be surviving each other. This will be a long summer unless the two can find a way to work together. A slow-burn enemy-to-mentor story.

Alternate 6th summer (and part of the school year): post-OotP; ignores HBP and DH.

OH MAN IT'S LIKE KARMA. I update my story, and boom, you've updated yours. And a sweet reward it is. It's so much fun watching Snape pretend not to care.

    Author's Response:

Yay!  I hadn't realized your story had been updated!  I read it at the beginning, but I haven't gotten alerts...hmm, I'll have to check my favorites.  I could've sworn it was there...  Anyway, I'll have to go catch up on your story when I get home (and yes, leave reviews, because I know how fun it is to get them).

Thanks for liking my story! Yes, that Snape - when will he ever just get in touch with his touchy-feely side?!

:-) Updates from you never fail to make my day better. Your Snape is made of awesomesauce.

Author's Response: Yummy!  You actually make him sound edibly delicious. ;)  Thank you for the nice review!

That was an immensely satisfying read, it is good to see Harry at his wiliest! Snape must respect that, despite himself. I do look forward to seeing Dumbledore rake him over the coals.

Author's Response: Thank you for the review!  I'm so glad you're enjoying the story!

    AAAARRGGGH.

    *PANTS*

    Okay. That was hot.

The highlight of the chapter was, for me, definitely the bit where Harry thought Snape looked, "not normal for Snape, but like a teacher who'd just found out his student had been raised in a cupboard." FOR GOD'S SAKE SEVERUS JUST HUG THE BOY ALREADY.

And I adore the anticipation of future suffering! Oh the angst! Oh the potential for cuddles!

Are we ever gonna get cuddles out of this story, woman?

    Author's Response:

Hi! Thanks for the review! I love fellow author reviews! I'm glad you liked that bit and still had the urge to yell at Snape. ;)

Cuddles? :) I love cuddles, I do. But I have to feel like they're ready for it, and I don't think they're quite ready for it. I'd probably get some hate mail if after all this, I suddenly, start of next chapter, had them both professing their undying devotion to each other...hehe.  But I promise I'll keep your request in mind for the opportune moment(s)!

    ZOMG POST MOAR PLZ :) :) :) :)

See, one of the things I like about you is how you can actually do plot. Things happen in your stories, and they're all suspenseful and foreshadowy and tension raising and stuff.

I like that Snape is actually speaking to Harry with a modicum of civility now. First step, civility, next stop HUGS!!

Yeah, no, I don't expect that to happen, but still. Civility is cool.

    Author's Response:

LOL!!!  You make me smile. :) (See?)

Thank you for the compliment! It means a lot from someone who makes me mad with brilliantly evil cliffhangers of their own... ;)

Don't expect all smooth sailing for these two, but don't expect no progress whatsoever either. Hugs? Well...maybe if Snape were on pain of death and were allowed to memory charm every person within a square mile radius? I'm not saying it won't happen, mind...but, well, it would take a pretty radical shift, as you can see. :)

So I'm glad "Step One: Civility" is cool.
