After Snape's visit to Surrey, Harry writes a thank-you letter that triggers an extended correspondence and a tentative friendship between the two of them.

- I just love this story. You write the best Luna I've seen in fanfiction. And I love how Snape is so chivalrous with her. I always thought canonSnape was slightly nicer to the girls, and he did rescue Neville a couple of times from bullies. I see how Snape, Harry, and Luna would all get along--they all have that bullied outsider thing inside of them. Nicely done.
Author's Response: Yes, I think Professor Snape is very careful how he treats girls. Of course, I don't know this for a fact, but I think perhaps his father wasn't very kind to his mother, and he tries to make up for that in his way, because he wants to be a different kind of man. Please don't tell him I said that, though, I don't think he wants anyone to know. Love, Luna. P.S.
