About me:

I have been aquainted with fanfiction for quite some time and find that in these days after the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows, that it has become all the more prominant staple in my life.  I have yet to try to write any Harry, Severus fanfiction or any pretaining to Harry Potter characters in general but enjoy reading them immensly!  Thus, I find myself to be a reader and reviewer instead of a writer...

...Well, perhaps not now anymore...I finally started posting my pre-Hogwarts fic, "The Truth About Tomorrow."

Ok, so reading and reviewing is still a lot better than writing, I'm not terribly creative and in my fic you'll find some borrowed information from other fics that you've read.  It's never something major, but the reference and connection can be seen if you look really closely.  This information also is usually something that has been accepted as 'true' in the fic world.  But the main plot of the fic is still mine...if I ever do plot it out fully.  I should really do that some day..

Awww! Severus is really doing a good job taking care of Harry, especially that he wants to and means it all now. On that topic, you're doing a great job of writing everyone. Great characterization and everything!!

I really like the end you came up with for Lucius. It suits him lots, that he's now a squib. And, Go Harry! I was so excited while reading those parts! It was great!!

I also hope that Harry accepts Severus' offer of having him talk to Ron and Hermione. Hopefully, this will ease Harry's transition into the school year. One thing that could make it interesting, though, would be if Draco isn't to happy about his dad being a squib...poor Draco. But with all the new spells and defences that Harry and Severus are going to be working on, Harry will be able to kick Draco's butt from around the corner, right?

Really good story and I can't wait for the next installment. And of course, for the sequel!!

    That didn't come out right...oops!

Poor Severus, now he has to deal with more awkward questions...but I have a feeling that Harry's going to make an appearance at the most oportune time.

Really great chapter, I didn't recieve a notice that it was updated, which is saddening...but I read it and it was amazing! I can't wait to see what happens with those headstrong Gryffindors we all know and love.

Wow, I have never been as pleased with an ending as I have with this one. Really, really well done and good job. I'm kinda sad that college caught up with me and was thus unable to keep up with the updates, but I do think it was brilliant!

In the previous chapters, Ron and Hermione were perfect, as was Severus, of course! They acted just as I would have imagined them to. One question, what was Severus doing as Ron comforted Hermione...that's the only thing that I couldn't see exactly. Was he sneering or genuinly touched at the depth of their friendship and connection to Harry that they would be so moved... I don't know.

Excellent job of bringing Harry into the picture too, it was great to see his appearance described by Hermione and not be as peachy keen as we all would have liked. But, it was magnificent and I really enjoyed the trio's interactions afterwords and seeing their reactions to realizing that Severus really does care for Harry.

Draco's appearance made me even more freaked out than it did Harry, I'm sure. It was a great plot point that you can then add to in your sequel and was amazingly set up. I was so proud of Harry when he realized that Draco wasn't his father, just as he was not James Potter. I just want to hug him he's so great!! It was also perfect how Harry called Draco back to show him that "there are no hard feelings." (if one can really even say that, but I think you understand) I'm just a little surprised with Severus, how did he miss Draco getting up during the feast from the table and leaving?! Or, how did Severus miss that Draco wasn't in the commonroom? (Unless Severus only talkes to the new firsties?) But still, I understand that IF Severus DID see Draco leaving the table, then Draco and Harry could not have had the chance to get these feelings off their chests.

One major question I have that I hope you will address in the sequel is, how do the Death Eater children act towards Severus now that they (probably) know of his betrayl. I mean, is there going to be a constant war raging in the dungeons and potions classroom? I really can't see everyone being like Draco, as I would like them to be...but how is Severus going to survive this year?

Really great story, it's definatly at the very top, number one of my favorites!! You are just such an amazing writer and I hope you continue on in the sequel and others to write as wonderfully as you did here. Best of luck!

    Author's Response:

Hi pkrosche, thanks for the review!

I appreciate very much your kind words on the last few chapters.  I didn't describe Severus' response to Hermione's anguish, because she wasn't really paying any attention to him.  But imagination is a wonderful thing, so we can all fill in our own blanks about how he reacted.  ;-)  To answer one of your questions, yes, the response of various DE children to Severus' "betrayal" of their cause, and how he manages his classroom, will definitely be addressed in the sequel.  And for another question, I figured it was possible, with all the confusion that the start of term feast usually has inherent in it, that Severus might not notice if one of his Slytherins (even one of the most notorious) was missing or came in a little late.  Draco wasn't gone that long, after all.

Thank you again, and hope you'll be back for the sequel!

As a first year, Harry is sorted into Slytherin instead of Gryffindor, and no one is more surprised than his new Head of House.

Ohh! I can't wait until the weekend!

I hope that the box of chocolate frogs were from Ron, Neville, and the like. I just don't know how you would explain that!

Really good characterization of Harry after Snape sees his memories, although it's kinda hard to remember that Harry's only 11 years old here. But that's ok too, because he has grown up more due to those experiences at the Dursleys.

Is Teddy a half-blood or muggle born? He certainly acts like it with his sticking up for Harry and defending of the Gryffindors and such. Or, is it that he's one of Harry's attackers? I hope that's not it. But I can't wait for when we do find out who they are!

Great chapter! I especially love how Snape is becoming more mentor-like with Harry, it shows that he is getting over his bias from James. That's good!!

Again, Can't Wait For The Weekend!!

After Snape's visit to Surrey, Harry writes a thank-you letter that triggers an extended correspondence and a tentative friendship between the two of them.

I must say that this is an amazing story you've got here, and I am a little confused at this particular ending- why does Harry throw himself in front of Snape to protect him in his oh-so-Gryffindor-way rather than be shocked and thus practically stupefied to respond to the cauldron exploding? But, please keep updating-this is a fantastic read!!

You really think this chapter kicked your butt? I think it was amazing! Snape was in character the whole time and Harry's dreams were perfect!! I can't wait to see what you do with Luna-I love her as a character and entrust her life to you for this story which is so well thought out and written...you are awecome!

Author's Response: Dear Pkrosche, I think you can still get your butt kicked even if you do a good job---everyone said I did a great job with the First Task, but I was pretty sore at the end anyway. Luna's pretty cool, I like her too. Sincerely, Harry Potter

I am thouroughly and ultimatly speachless, but I'll try to write through it...Wow, this is an amazing story and I find myself giddy and smiling without shame. I truly do love this little tale you've developed and am glad you possess the talent and determination along with the imagination needed to write it (I myself have tried my hand at a few fanfics and find them dead after a chapter with no idea at how to go on). Unfortunatly, I don't remember how this all started, but I get the inkling that Snape went to the Dursleys...as addicted as I am to fanfiction, they sadly become confused and muddled in my mind. But, this chapter was hartening, unbelivably so! I can't wait for your next chapter and look forward to the challenges that Snape and Harry encounter in their relationship. I really can't wait to read what happens in next potions class. Hopefully, it becomes a bit of a game to Harry and Snape, to outsmart the death eaters in training...that could be interesting! Please update soon! I'm sorry that I don't have anything to say related directly to this chapter, except that it ROCKED!! and feel a little selfish in asking for Snape's-Professor Snape, that is- thoughts. Oh, and the dream chapters that you said kicked your butt, were awesome too! Don't be too hard on yourself and keep the chapters longer- it eats up more time between my schedual in college...once again, selfish me...but you are amazing and I send you chocolate!!

Title: Chapter 8: Handle With Care 07 Sep 2007

Yay for Snape!! I'm so glad that this chapter played out like it did, and that Harry is 'rejecting' Snape. Ouch! Too many other fanfics show them get all mushy at the sudden realization that they care for each other, but this is excellent that Harry refuses to be cared for - hopefully because he thinks he will just be hurt by it. Hopefully, though Harry comes around and Snape is able to come to terms with the Potter boy and they come to a sort-of truce. I can't wait until the next chapter is out and thanks for the early update!!

Author's Response: Yes, you need have no fears for premature mushiness from this story. Mature mushiness, on the other hand...

Title: Chapter 9: Please Respond 10 Sep 2007

Awww...I'm looking forward to the next chapter!! I really like how you depict Snape and Harry together, but I'm in desprate need of Harry to return to classes so there can be some more drama in Potions. I don't know why, but I like Snape when he's not too protective either, but after Uncle Vernon's attack was perfectly characterized. Keep it up! This is awesome in every way and I can't wait for the next installment.

Author's Response: Well, there won't be a lack of drama to come but Potions is going to be relatively tame from now on, Dumbledore's seen to that.

This was an amazing chapter! I love how you incorporate Harry's desire to protect everyone that he's close to. This, I find, is an important part of Harry's story i.e. his ability to love is necessary and crutial to include and you have done just that. This is truly amazing and brilliant and awesome and every other word that conveys magnificence! I really like how the 'argument' between Dumbledore and Snape went and that Snape warned Harry that it was just an act, it can't have been easy for him to witness and then be the focal point for hatred from the Slytherins. Slytherins, they got better than what they deserved, that scum of the dungeons! I was really worried for Luna-I hope she really is alright and Harry to! It seems that Snape might as well just get him his own room in his quarters...but maybe that means that Harry will let his potions professor in too. However much I would like that, it's probably not likely now though, right? Especially after what happened to Luna. But I also love that you're supporting Harry in his revelation, that everyone that gets too close to him gets hurt. On an end note, I hope that we get to read Harry's responce to Uncle Vernon's letter, with Snape's input of course! Great story and I'm going to read the next chapter now!!
