About me:

| Hi, everyone. I'm a long-time HP fan, but new to reading and writing HP fanfics. Of course Harry and Severus are favorites, but I really like almost all the characters. I'm a preschool teacher, and happily married with two children who also love HP. Other things to know about me? Hmm, I love horseback riding, reading, and spending time with my family and friends. I love coming to talk with other fans on the internet, and I love reading fanfics. [Report This]

With a strange potion, new location and the odd Muggle Studies Professor along for the ride, Harry's in for an interesting summer, but why is Snape here? Dumbledore had better pray he gets all three back in one piece! Humor, Angst, No Mary Sues, No Romance, no real plot.

Title: Chapter 10: The Mall Trip

It sounds like a fairly successful shopping trip! I felt bad for Harry when he was remembering how the Dursleys would try to leave him, and how relieved he was when Snape came back for him. I wonder if Snape will notice those bruises? It might help to soften him up a bit.
I bet Harry had a great time picking out all those toys, and Snape having to explore the mall was quite funny.
Author's Response: Yes, Snape will discover those bruises, but it is the trust that he will have to work on over time. Thank you so much for your review! Sorry for taking so long to update! I hope that you can enjoy the new chapter!

Well, it sounds like they have a really nice house to stay in, at least. I like the sounds of Harry's bedroom, especially.
I can sympathize with Hoppity here--grocery shopping can be overwhelming even when you know what you're doing!
And when is Snape going to wake up and smell the coffee? Does he really think he can live in splendid isolation here?
Author's Response: Haha, Snape will learn quickly that they are not as safe as he thinks they are. Thanks for your review! :)

Great beginning! I feel such sympathy for Remus here--he's got to be reliving some old memories, and wondering how in the world someone who was once a close friend could turn on them like Pettigrew did. I hope he can heal both physically and emotionally.
And the interaction between Harry and Dumbledore is wonderful. Dumbledore has had to make a lot of tough decisions regarding Harry's welfare, and I can see both sides. In some ways, Privet Drive was the safest place for Harry, but I do feel like Dumbledore could have done more to ensure his well-being. But hopefully, having this summer will be like a second chance for Harry.
Author's Response: Hi Kristeh! Thanks for reviewing! I'm really enjoying reading them all. You've reminded me about Remus... unfortunately, I hadn't planned on doing any more with him, but maybe I'll write him in later on once they get back... if they get back. :)

Hoppity is a great character--she sounds like she's going to be lots of fun, and a perfect spoil for Snape.
She and Arthur Weasley should meet--they'd really get along, and they could have such fun comparing Muggle artifacts.
Looking forward to the next chapter!
Author's Response: Oh, what a great idea! Perhaps Hoppity and Arthur Weasley will get together one day and talk Muggle "artifacts".

Another great chapter! I was a little surprised that Snape agreed so easily, but then again, he doesn't really have much of a choice, does he?
So his spy cover is blown, hmm? That's interesting. Now he can't use that as an excuse to mistreat Harry or to keep from getting closer to him.
Looking forward to more!
Author's Response: Nope! That's the plan! No excuse for Snape, whatsoever. Maybe he will let his guard down a little. Thanks for commenting!

Great chapter again! It's nice to finally see a potion that tastes good--seems like most of them are quite nasty. Then again, considering the ingredients that go into them, what can you expect?
I bet Harry is just adorable--I'd love to see him as a six year old.
Looking forward to more!
Author's Response: Thank you! More is forthcoming. :)

So now the adventure begins! Oh, poor Snape--is he really the ugliest man Hoppity's ever seen?
And what were her parents thinking? Although as someone with a unique name myself, I can't really talk.
Also can't blame Harry for not wanting Snape to be in possession of his wand, but it does seem like the best solution under the circumstances.
Looking forward to more!
Author's Response: Haha, it's more like, What was the author thinking? LOL. Thanks so much for enjoying the story and for commenting. I really appreciate it.

There were lots of cute little things here! I loved Hoppity and Harry playing with the air vents, and I can imagine Snape's disdain.
Harry's excitement was so sweet. A first plane trip is pretty exciting, especially for a child.
Hope the airline doesn't lose the tea set box.
Author's Response: Awww, thanks for all of your comments! Unfortunately, the tea set was lost. I hope that there will be many more cute things to come! Thanks for your review!

Aw, poor Snape, sufrering from motion sickness. I don't get motion sickness, but I don't like flying so I can sympathize.
I liked his suspicious nature about Agent D, and the mental image of Hoppity exploring the gift shop and worrying about Muggle money.
Looking forward to more!
Author's Response: Thank you!

Oh, I loved it! The joys of travelling with squabbling children--there's nothing quite like it. Those of you who are not parents yet just don't know what fun is ahead of you! It was one of the times I could sympathize with snarky Snape.
No wonder poor little Harry is all tired out. They've had quite an adventure already and they're not even 'home' yet!
Author's Response: Yup! Thanks for reading and for your comments! :)
