Unexpected results, after a potions assignment, leave Severus and Harry struggling with reality. A forced stay at Grimmauld Place, that includes Draco, doesn't help matters.

In this case, "want" should be spelled "wont" as in "It was his wont" Author's Response: I have fixed this. Thank you. I really appreciate you pointing this out to me. I knew something about that word didn't look right when I gave this chapter a re-read. I just forgot to take the time to investigate. A Severitus written in a series of 100-word scenes. Warnings: bad language, friendly Slytherins, unfriendly Gryffindors (so far), more than a few cliches. Inspired by Bil's Drabble Challenge. Some word counts may be off because the site sees some formatting options as words. I'm not sure why some are counted as less than 100. Counting actual words, every chapter is exactly 100 words.

There are many forms of vengeance. It can be just as satisfying to return cruelty with kindness as to return cruelty with equal cruelty...and sometimes it can be more dangerous and more insidious to do so. Faced with an eleven-year-old Harry Potter, Severus Snape has a decision to make: How does he like his vengeance?

Author's Response: Sure thing. I'm not saying I'm opposed to an EVENTUAL Harry/Draco friendship, but it would require a serious amount of character development on both parts. Harry is not exactly going to be friends with someone who reminds him of Dudley: spoiled and bullying. I think Draco could potentially be a nice guy...but it will take years' worth of disillusionment. What if Dudley was a wizard? And went to Hogwarts? Things aren't looking too good for Harry Potter, or for Severus Snape. AU, of course.

Author's Response: Mwhihhi. That will be an issue, later on. XD
Author's Response: We'll see.... ... :P I haven't really decided yet though. :p When Harry and his new, pretty neighbor are rescued from Privet Drive on the eve of a Death Eater attack, Severus becomes Harry's reluctant guardian and healer in the weeks following. Old prejudices are challenged as Harry's new friend casts her own spell over Hogwarts' Potions Master.

Author's Response: I do realise that people can be allergic to anything at all, even gentle, natural things. But Harry was thinking on the spot, and Erin isn't a medical person, so she just assumes, as would many, that because it is a natural product, it should be OK. She did tell him just to try a tiny bit first. Thank you for your review. Lesley After the Dursleys' deaths - yeah, I cried, too - Snape unwillingly becomes seven-year-old Harry's guardian. How long will it take for him to give his archenemy's son a chance? WARNING: Contains corporal punishment, i.e. spanking, of a child.

Author's Response: Dumbledore strikes me as one of those who's always nice as long as you do things his way. Thanks for reviewing!
Great chapter, great story, and please post soon again! I can't wait for more, even if it just torments me more. Author's Response: I hate those fluffy stories, too. I rarely read Snape/Harry guardian stories anyway, but when I first got into fanfic, I caught a glimpse of some. Completely by accident, of course. :o) Nope, Snape will be stupid for a number of chapters, and at no point will he go soft, fluffy, or any such adjective. It's nice to have a handful of masochistic reviewers who support that course of events. Thanks for reviewing! A Christmas-y fic that was inspired by the challenge made by Foolish Wishmaker. Harry is left alone at Hogwarts for Christmas, during his seventh year. Bored and lonely, he tries to find something to occupy his time and ends up (as usual) in trouble. Can Snape help him out?

“Yes, yes, you are the expert killing machine etcetera, etcetera and I am amazed by your singular skill. Now would you mind going back to sleep while I go and mark the incompetent children’s essays?” You might want to slip some of the exposition in the first few paragraphs into the rest of the story to start it off faster. Author's Response: I'm glad to hear it - I agree with you, Snape does seem the kind to be more comfortable with animals. I shall bear your advice in mind for future fics - I do have a bad habit of explaining it all straight away! Thanks for reviewing! |
