- extremely bad harry in thinking about this potion and he will get caught and grounded until he is at least 25, harry should think things through more

- severu s was right to be angry as harry very nearly did something extremely stupid, luckily sev got there in time to save the situation. i do notn think they will kick him out but he is in for one hell of a ride now

Before Harry arrives at Hogwarts, the faculty have a meeting and decide that Harry will need a mentor to help him adjust, keep him out of trouble, and make protecting him easier. They decide that this person should the Head of the House into which Harry is sorted, presumably Minerva McGonagall. But things, of course, don't turn out as planned, and Harry is harder to deal with than anyone expected. Nobody asked him if he wanted a mentor, after all...

- i am loving rebellious harry, he is 11 but going on to be a teenager, i hope harry does learn to trust severus as he isn't the bad guy in this, wonder what mess harry will come up with next, amazing story, loving every single bit of it

Desperate to escape his guilt and nightmares after the third task, Harry transforms into a hawk by accident and ends up breaking both wings and suffering partial memory loss. He is found by Snape, and while the professor nurses him back to health discovers the truth about Severus and who are really his friends and enemies at Hogwarts.

- i have found this story, i probably won't review each chapter as i want to get this finished and start the sequel, don't want to get further behind.

- great chapter, loved the way severus was so caring and willed the bird to live, the chat with hagrid in the previous chapter showed hagrid in a more adult role and more insightful than what people take him for.
i know what sev is going through as when i was in my teens i rescued two collared doves which had been knocked out of the nest, one had a broken leg and the other was fine, there parents taught them to fly and eventually they flew away

I wanted to show Hagrid as more of an adult and less of a bumbler or an overgrown child here. I think he'll make a great mentor for Crabbe just like he did for Severus.
That's awesome that you rescued two doves. I fixed up a crow with a broken wing once and let it go once it was better. But then I tried something similar with a robin and it died. So i can sympathize with Severus here a lot, and then there was my beagle . .

- great chapter and very amusing, i had images floating by me of the hawk doing potions, flying to and from the potions cabinet and mixing a delightful potion and getting top marks for it, also malfoy the house-elf was great, i think if anyone else gets the same punishment, they should have a elfish name, arn't i mean?

Yes, he is. I think he's one of those natural caregivers.
As is Poppy, who is quite aware of what's going on in the school, even though she spends most of her time in the infirmary.

Well, Hagrid ought to, since he is the gamekeeper and rehabilitated a hawk before. But it was a learning experience for both of them, Freedom and Sev I mean.
