I am currently a bookseller for Barnes and Noble, a former teacher of preschool & 7th grade English & an obsessed Severus Snape fan, which is why so many of my stories feature him. 

I love reading other fanfic stories and will leave a review whenever possible and ask you do me the same courtesy.

    Finally got around to reading this. Sorry it wasn't earlier, but I loved it! I loved how Severus and Harry were both Max like in the Wild Things book, one of my favorites, and how Severus saved him at the end and also used what he had learned to protect himself when he grew older. Albus is indeed another kind of beast, the worst kind, which disguises itself as something harmless, like some beasts in nature. That which is hidden often has the deadliest sting.

    I also liked how you used the old concept of naming a thing to hold power over it, like Ursula LeGuin does in her Earthsea Trilogy. Ever read that? That's another wonderful series.

    I wonder if Tom Riddle ever went to the Island of Lost Children as a boy and if he learned anything there.

     I have read the Earthsea Trilogy.  It is a great series.  The idea that names have power is a common Celtic belief.  I think she studied Celtic religions to formulate some of her ideas.

     

    Albus is definitely one of the Beasts.  If he were a Wild Thing he would have the heart not to use people.  He has lost his wild magic, however, so he hasn't got the conscience of the innocent to temper his actions.  I doubt Tom Riddle made it to the Island of Lost Children, or he would have learned the same lessons as Severus and Harry.

    I'm glad that Severus now has a family to go to during the holidays and that he has finally unbent enough to show them that he cares about them and can help them.

    I like how you wrote Harry and Hermione and show that they have both good and bad times and I love the two little ones, Lily is awesome and so is Vincent.

    Good job on solving their problems and I have to laugh at Severus sticking Harry to the chair.

    Looking forward to a sequel with Lily and the Snape family at Hogwarts, maybe?

    This is a great start! I like how you've developed Harry's voice in the beginning and showed how disgustingly nasty Vernon is and they all are. Poor thing!

    I also like how you've shown Arabella to have more backbone and not be just a mouthpiece for Albus, who is really a crazy old man for ignoring such signs.

    Hope Severus can help Harry and not scare him to death.

    Ooh he's so evil and I really like that in this story. It makes it so different and I love how supportive Arabella is of Harry and Severus.

    Harry is right, he will be safe with Severus, and yet I wonder why and how he recognizes Severus? Did Severus visit him back when he was still living with his parents? Or is there a deeper connection?

    Guess I'll have to wait and find out. I wish Severus would go and curse Vernon to hell. Sick *&^# . . .well you get the picture.

    Yes, Dumbledore is quite nasty this time, and don't worry, Vernon will get his eventually. As to Harry knowing Severus, I will get into that (in part) in the next chapter.
