- I like the groundwork you've laid, also Ginny's reaction to all of Harry's revelations. It's good he's going to have her in his corner.
Now I'm interested in seeing what you do to--uh, I mean WITH--Severus.

- You are doing a fine job in keeping this as close to canon as possible. It's believable, and enjoyable, and please keep up the good work!
Couple small things to clear up, though:
While the phrase is pronouced the way you spelled it, it is Latin, and therefore spelled "PER SE", not 'per say'.
In the next paragraph, after the mention of Narcissa, "...in their last DUEL to the death", rather than 'dual'.

- I don't know the song whose lines you interspersed between your Severus/Harry stories, but it fit pretty nicely.
My one quibbling question: Do you really mean Albus literally--as in physically--assaulted Severus after the DE meeting? Or did you mean it more like Dumbledore swept Sev up for a debriefing, not taking 'no' for an answer?

Thanks for your review! The song I used was Welcome to My Life by Simple Plan. Albus wouldn't take no for an aswer, and dragged him off to his office to rehash the events of the night. Not a physical assult, but a mental one.

Author's Response: I'm so happy that you enjoyed it. It was hard for me to write a story where Ron, Hermione, and all the others had died, but I wanted to have Harry truly need Severus and to concentrate on the two of them without the others around. But yes, I did want to show that, in a way, Harry's friends would always be with him.
