    I've read this story a few times, but I just wanted to review again to tell you how much I enjoyed it. Snape's characterization is perfect (because I hate stories that have him using such simple language, when he really is the type of man to use large words.) I absolutely adore every line of this story, and it is one of the best Snape discovers Harry is abused stories in exsistance.

    Hey, I just wanted to tell you once again that I adore this fic. Everyone is perfectly in character. You captured Snape's essense, Hermione's nuances, Luna's oddities, Ron's temper, and most importantly in my mind the intricacies of Dumbledore's dialgoue. Finally, someone who can write an adult who sounds like an adult. This is by far the most in character story I have ever read. Great, great job.

    While I do like this story so far, I'm a bit concerned that Harry doesn't seem at all concerned about leaving Ron and Hermione. Yes, he's friends with them here also, but it is an alternate reality. They're bound to be different also. So, I can't decide whether this is an OOC gapping plot hole, or whether or not it's an issue that will be covered later in the story. Overall, I do still like the story.

    I'm a long time reader here, but this is the first time I've reviewed with my new penname. (I've actually been reading/reviewing since the very first chapter.) I've gotta say it, right now, this is my favorite WIP out there. That's a big compliment from me, as I read dozens of stories from dozens of websites. I actually come on this site daily just to see if you have updated.

    You have such a strong voice and a unique concept. You've managed to combine all of the cliched ideas (abusive!Dursley, adopted!Harry, Snape/Harry friendship before school starts, etc) and make them into something unique. You've made Harry into such a unique boy, and it truly makes your story stand out among the crowd. I don't really have any ideas for the Durley's punishment, though I think life in Azkaban is no better than they deserve (if Harry was going to testify.) One thing I wanted to add is that, yes Harry does have a nice family now (excluding Connor). However, the effects of abuse run deep, and I feel that even excluding the current Connor issues, what the Dursleys did to him should not be forgotten. Also, I just want to say right now, I am dying to see Cathy's reaction when she finds out how awful Connor is to Harry. (And I do so hope that her reaction involves calling a divorce lawyer.) I also saw something on your personal webpage for this story where you mentioned Cathy and Snape being a couple possibly, and I have to say, I approve. It'd be a great gradual addition to the story if you decide to include it.

    This is officially the most detailed review I have ever given, and trust me I could go on. Though, I'm going to sum it up with a Good job, and please update soon. :)

    Author's Response: I feel honored that this is your fav WIP! It makes me really happy to know that other people enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoy writing it. I tried really hard to make this fic somewhat unqiue and I'm glad you think it does stand out compared to others. I've got so many ideas coming up for the scene that everyone has been waiting for- the one where they all find out how Connor really is. Thank you for taking the time to leave a wonderful review! I will admit that you're review made me jump back on the writing table and I'm currently taking a little break from my next chapter- which I'm trying to get out this weekend. I will try to get this next one off to my beta within a day or two so be on the lookout for updates this weekend! Thanks again for the awesome and inspiring rewiew! :)

    This chapter was another great addition. I found it heartwrenching that Harry didn't even know his mother's hair color. Perfection.
