Title: Chapter 2: His Father's Son 08 Jul 2008

Loved Lily's parents but I was surprised that they did not go to the funeral...I mean there must have been someone else who could have taken care of Harry...I am sure that Lily could have used them there and I am sure they looked at James as a son so even though they are muggles they should have been at the funeral (didn’t expect Petunia there but it would have been the proper thing to do), also it may be a good idea for Lily to spend a few days by her parents (by Sev would cause too much gossip) ...I remember after my son’s funeral I could not stay in the house I went in and just looked at his room it was only then that reality hit and I started screaming ... my elder son held on to me just like Harry with Lily telling me it was Ok, I called my parents and waited outside until they came...it took me two weeks before I could enter the house again and by then my brothers had cleared the room... it was too much, I moved about a month later. The shock of losing a loved one really comes only when you try to settle back into the normal routine and you cannot do it alone Lily needs Sev, her parents and even Sirius and Remus now more than ever.

Author's Response: yes, I was going to have Lily's parents at the funeral, but it was a wizard affair, so then I thought it might be forbidden by the Ministry.  I will make mention of the fact that the Evanses did have a separate service for James and the Muggle side of the family and you'll see that Lily will eventually call her parents and Remus and Sirius because she starts getting reminded of James everywhere.  And I am so sorry about your son, that is a terrible thing to have to go through. My aunt lost her son in a car accident many years ago, he was 25, and to this day she can talk about him but only for a few minutes and she has since moved out of the house where her kids grew up.

That was just hilarious, Sev singing with Harry and two of his best friends there to tease him LOL. Love that Sev took Harry to the Quidditch match and that Harry had a ball some real bonding between Harry and Sev. Also happy that Lily got a girls night to relax

Author's Response: Yeah, they all needed some male bonding time, LOL! And Lily needed some time to do some girl stuff too, time that she didn't get even when James was alive because she had to watch Harry.

Title: Chapter 7: Never Second Best 07 Aug 2008

Sev is such a sweetheart and so insecure when it comes to Lily, but I love how his two friends got together to encourage him. LOL at the "fight" for the cinnamon buns, it seems like something friends who are brothers will do. Love the little stories of their childhood and all the pranks James and Siri use to pull...looking forward to some childhood stories of Lily and Sev, I am sure they will have a few; all of these will be good to tell Harry later on.
Ron he is so cute, my little sister did the same thing except it was beans and like Sev the doctor was accustomed to handling such things, but unlike Mrs Weasley who was calm my mother was in a panic

    Author's Response:

Yes, there is still that insecure teenager inside the Master Healer, a legacy of the abuse he suffered at the hands of Tobias.  The cinnamon bun fight is very typical of brothers, my nephews fight like that all the time over them when they're together.  I'll be having some Sev and Lily stories soon, probably in the next chapter, they have some equally funny ones about them and Petunia.

As for Molly and Ron, the bean thing is something my sister did also, and she's now a doctor, LOL! She also drank perfume and ate baby asprins.  Molly is so calm because she's probably gone through so many situations after six kids that it's old hat to her.  I doubt if my mother was half as calm.

Finally Sev told Lily how he feels it was a very good evening. love the stories of their youth and the pranks on Petunia LOL

Author's Response: Yeah, they had some fun as children, didn't they? And it was good that Severus finally found his nerve and said what he feels for once.  More romance to follow.  Thanks for reviewing and I've also updated Angel too.

If I was Hal I would have turned both Dudley and Petunia over my knee

Author's Response: Yes, and you\'re not the only one! They\'re both terrible!

Title: Chapter 16: Severus Snape & the Terrible Two-Year-Old Brat 03 Nov 2008

Ah the terrible twos like that woman I was so glad my son when my son came out of that stage (guaranteed I am now going into a worse phase - teen ahhhh. It is important at this phase that the child learns proper reward and punishment; rewards for good behaviour and punishment for bad ones. Harry threw a real big tantrum and I agree with Sev's punishment, children must know how to behave when they go into a store... what I did with my son was a chart (similar to the Hogwarts punishment/reward system) he got stars for doing good things including brushing his teeth, putting clothes in the dirty clothes basket, putting his books and toys away... so before we would go to the store he would check how many points he has to know if he would get “something nice”, punishments were dealt with immediately, a swat, a time out etc I did not take away any stars.
Every child is different and every parent is different, this is a testing time for Harry he is testing Sev to see what he would do, if Sev passes then Harry would truly accept him as dad.

Author's Response: That chart sounds like something my friend does with her kids, she has a chart for chores and when they do them they get a check and then so many checks add up to something, like a trip to the mall, the movies, ect. No checks means you get to finish what you didn\'t do on your own and then get nothing.\r\n\r\nAnd yes, Harry\'s testing both of them to see what he can get away with, and learn his boundaries.

Title: Chapter 31: My Heart Will Go On 29 Nov 2008

From the moment you started the story we all knew how it was going to end, but it still did not prepare me for it... I cried. I could count on one hand stories that truly made me cry. I loved this story even knowing that Sev eventually does find love again is a small comfort... imagining him on the bed crying for her just broke my heart.
Thank you for writing this incredible story

Author's Response: Aww . . .this was such a poignant scene, that part when he starts really letting himself feel her loss made me very sad, i felt so bad doing that to him.

Young Harry Potter is in need of some proper discipline and Professor Dumbledore thinks he has just the man to do it. Set after Philosopher’s Stone and spans the rest of Chamber of Secrets. AU

I think Snape would be a good role model for Harry... I wouldn't mind if you add a corporal punishment warning

Sometimes getting what you want is terrifying. Can Severus and Harry manage after the roller coaster that was first year?

Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 08 Jul 2008

I enjoyed the first story and this one is shaping up to be great as well... it would take Harry some time to get use to having a father and living in the house...Snape would just have to have patients and keep reassuring the child that he is wanted and that he is loved...I suspect that Sev would buy the boy new clothes and shoes etc He would have to remember that many of the things everyone else takes for granted Harry does not know or expect like snacking and having new stuff... I hope Vernon is still suffering; Harry also didn’t pick up on the fact that Sev spoke on his cousin’s size meaning that Sev had seen his cousin as I suspect Sev never told him about his visit to the Dursleys

    Author's Response:

    A few things:

    1) Yes, Harry is definitely having a bit of a time adjusting to being somewhere that's not a) Hogwart's or b) the Dursley's.  So there's some angst there.

    2) A shopping trip is definitely planned!

    3) And no, Harry doesn't know about Snape's trip to the Dursley's.  Yet.

    Thanks for commenting!

    Good work

Author's Response: Thank you. I guess I should write more - I killed Hedwig without any explanation, after all. *guilty* Mila
