- I love the interaction between Snape and Moody - it just feels right! Good thing that the new eye will be in soon, it must be hard being constantly vigilant with one eye! You do such a wonderful job keeping everyone IC - which means I am now a little concerned about what Harry is thinking! We all know that the Golden Trio can get into all kinds of situations that go from bad to worse in a very short time, so I am waiting (behind a chair!) for the next crisis to pop up!

- I am always happy to see another chapter!!! So Snapey to be smug his wayward eye scared a child and made him cry! I am still enjoying the Alaistar/Snape interactions as well. I cannot imagine how Albus is going to react to the news that Harry knows about Horcruxes - looking forward to this as you continue this great story

- Great start to a new year - a new chappie from you!!! I love how Harry seems so casual and at ease with Severus - who is gnashing his teeth over losing the intimidation factor with him! I am always up for more interaction between these two here!!
A near tragedy and a shocking discovery lead two bitter enemies to much soul searching and eventual acceptance of each other. Much angst along the way though. Some Ginny and Harry.

- WHENEVER you put an update in I will read it!!!! I love protective Snape - he is just what Harry needs! Of course, he now will have the wizarding world all over him because of his threat to Lockhart, and Malfoy is in a snit as well. Way to start a new school term, Sev!!!

- Another Snape/Harry chapter - how I love them! But poor Snape - having to rein in Dumbledore so the investigation into Sirius continues. Why does he have to spend his time and energy clearing up everyone's messes and straightening out mistakes people (particularly Gryffindor people!) keep making? :-)
I love this story - you keep writing it, I'll keep reading it!

- I love the staff "discussion" you end the chapter with! Snape snarkily starting it is a special joy. The image of Harry leaping up to touch a wall hanging - bright eyed and bushytailed the first thing in the morning - while Snape wearily trudges next to him (no doubt feeling caffeine deprived!) is lots of fun, too.
Great chapter - again! Oh, I voted - and I do want another update soon!

- OK - I am so hooked on this story this is my third reread here (I am also keeping up with newer chapters on Fanfiction!) My absolute favorite fanfic scenario is the snarky Potions Master eventually mentoring/fathering a young Harry, and your story is such a wonderful example of this! I loved Dumbledore (the old coot, I agree!) manuevering Snape into taking on the "slight" task of guardianship of the Brat Who Lived!

- I loved your presentation of the Weasleys. In canon we don't see enough of Arthur, and I really like who he is in your story! Several laugh out loud moments in this chapter - That was my father... Yes, well it would have been, wouldn't it? (Snort, loved that one!)
Author's Response: Thanks! I found it a bit of a challenge to write Arthur because, just as you describe, he's not as well fleshed out in canon as are some of the other characters. So I kind of followed my nose and tried to deduce what kind of a character he might be and then (since this is *my* AU, thank you very much!) just made it so! :) I'm happy to hear you enjoy the result. And yes, I must admit the line you quote is one of my personal favorites. I can just see Snape's deadpan delivery and Molly's distracted reply.... hee hee hee!

- Harry is such an endearing boy - of course Snape will find himself agreeing to take care of him! I enjoyed the opening sequence outside of the Gryffindor tower in particular - Gryffindor bravery meets Slytherin cunning - Slytherin may win, but those Gryffidors still got their points in the end!
