- I love this story. I first read this on fanfiction back in the early part of 2008 and had hoped that you would continue with it. I was so excited to see that you have and this second chapter is excellent as was the first. I love Harry and Severus together and love the deal that has been made. Thanks so much for the update and look forward to more as this story has always been a favorite of mine.
A near tragedy and a shocking discovery lead two bitter enemies to much soul searching and eventual acceptance of each other. Much angst along the way though. Some Ginny and Harry.

- I love this story and I also have it on alert and one of my favorites on fanfiction.net. I loved this chapter as Severus is really coming more like a father than he cares to admit. The discussion at dinner was very well done and I like that Harry became like any other teenager when discussing "sex" with his father. Well dnoe.

- It has been 2 years since I last read your story over on ff.net. The last review that I left was at the end of this chapter and I was so upset that I could no longer continue reading. I have now once again picked up your story and have re-read up to this point once again. I am still very emotional about this chapter and what happened and it still moves me very profoundly. I think when I left my review over on ff.net I was completely stunned even thought the title of your story is "torn apart world" and you did say in the warnings about a betrayal and I was still completely stunned. And in that you have done an amazing thing. You as a writer through your words made me the reader so completely emotional and invested in your story, I literally forgot that Harry was a character a story. I know that sounds weird but that is just how I felt. Now almost 2 years later, I am re-reading your story and remembering what an out-standing writer you are. I love that you make me feel - whether it be happy or sad -- you have moved me and to me as a reader, even 2 years later, is incredible. Well now that I rambled on, I am finally moving forward to chapter 15 and as you said in your chapter end notes, I will be having hope in my heart and looking for the light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you.

This story was only a single chapter when I decided to turn it into a story, and to hear how profoundly it has affected you and how much you have enjoyed it, is one of the most amazing things I could ever hear. - You should be very happy with this chapter, it kept me on the edge of my seat reading. I read it so fast I had to go back and read it again. Excellent chapter. I am now wondering was it Craig and Ernie together to get Harry away from Severus? Craig said he knew a powerful wizard..I don't have a good feeling about this. Onto chapter 18. Great chapter.

Winston Churchill said "if you're going through hell, keep on going" and I add because eventually you will find your self coming through it and can then only go up from there. I am hoping that Harry and Severus are now on the upswing from Hell. Well done.

- Another great chapter and as with any road to recovery, there is always ups and downs. I really like that you didn't just make everything ok. I have seen other stories where something horrible happens and then within a chapter or two everything is worked out and everything is fine. It doesn't work like that esp. not when dealing with abuse in any shape. Well done.
I read your end of note and I am sorry that you had to go through a horrible experience of harrassment yourself. As I am catching up with your story, I am hoping this was a while ago and is no longer a problem for you. Now, onto the next chapter.

I agree with you on the 'everything's ok' part. There's nothing worse than reading some really well written angst and finding out in the next chapter that Harry's calling Snape 'Dad'. - I could not image having nightmares like the ones you describe here that Harry is reliving everynight in his dreams brought about by his abuse by Craig. I do however remember when I was little and how I had night terrors. To be totally trapped in a terror and not being able to wake up until your own screams wake you up.
I loved how sensitive Severus was with Harry and how he massaged the knots out of Harry's back to get him to sleep. It was a parent thing to do. Funny, I remember my Mom rubbing my back to get me to sleep when I was little. I loved that whole part of this chapter.
Two of my favorite lines in this chapter: "Twelve years old or not, sometimes you just needed a nightlight." and "Thirty seven years old or not, sometimes you just needed a nightlight" -- Lovely.

Thank you, I'm proud of that chapter and it's lovely to hear such kind words about it. Some people felt it was a little innapropriate for Snape to rub his back, but I felt it was very parental too =)
