- A good chapter! It brings the balance back into the story that was slightly disrupted in the previous one and gives me hope that Harry will get better! I hope he'll also be reassured about the Weasleys and his other friends soon! Severus really is stubborn here, isn't he? Dumbledore should have pinned him to the bed, lol.

Harry's life is turned around and upside down when a late night visitor from the future tells him the unthinkable. Now he must convince Snape to teach him Occlumency, get along with Draco Malfoy and survive through what Voldemort has planned for him.

- Please, please, PLEASE update this it is amazing! Snape AND Harry taking the initiative AND the basilisk! It's almost to good to be true. I love how Snape's so suspicious of the note and how far Harry's gone to make amends - love it.

- Wow, I'm getting addicted to this story and I'd love to read more. I can't decide what I would most like to read next; Snape's discovery of Harry's true treatment, or more contention between the two - their canon relationship has always fascinated me. I'm sure that whatever you decide will be fantastic anyway. I like how you've got the story all in Harry's POV - and I also like how he's managed to regain the courage to fight back. Loved the cliched detention ;) your version was fun to read and I'm looking forward to the next chapter - whenever that may be!

- I am interested why Snape dragged him out of bed at five and then made him miss breakfast, but am more excited about what you plan to do next! Umm, I think this chapter was good, but I suppose if you want to draw it out a little, you could have Snape comment on the state of Harry's hair and general appearance, as you introduced that plot point earlier on. Also - when Harry was staring at the spot on the floor - you said 'bew' instead of 'brew' towards the end of that paragraph there. Apart from that, I really enjoyed this chapter and I like the 'short but sweet' theme you've got going on here. I look forward to your next update!

Response to Burned Hedwig Challenge... After blowing up his aunt, Harry's uncle abuses him farther than his mental capacity can stand. Even his cousin is concerned, and sends a letter by way of owl "To Whom It May Concern" pleading for his cousins sake for help. But Harry needs more than to be taken from his family. He needs to gain the will to live.

- Definitely enjoyed - loved the way Snape managed to trick Harry into eating his lunch! I'm curious about what Snape will say about the essay Harry worked so hard on... and about whether Harry can manage to find a way to get out of staying another week! Great chapter.
