- Fab! You got it perfectly! The way Summer just wouldn't shut up... that has happened to me sooo many times and it was great to read about it happening to Sev and Harry instead. I liked Severus' means of shutting her up - humane and effective. I'm going to go and read your next chapter now; I can't wait to find out about the wand! Papers are one thing, but Severus' wand is something else!

All I did was remember all the times my Rocky woke me out of a sound sleep baying over some invisible animal at 2AM!

- Uh oh! She's done a Houdini! Most of the time, my beagle ended up in other people's sitting rooms being fed scones when he did that (?!) but Summer? Oh dear! Even worse, she's in disgrace, so she won't exactly be in the mood to stop anytime soon. A very exciting chapter, but I can't help but really want to read the next one!

- Great end to the story - the tracking was great fun to read and I loved your solution to stop Summer being so naughty! Heh, poor Harry, I know what he feels like, wanting a dog but being told no! Wonderful story and very cute.

I always wished I could talk to animals, although maybe I wouldn't like what they had to say . . .LOL!
I was told no more dogs for a long time when i was a kid, until finally i was old enough to just get my own without getting parental approval.
Glad you liked it, hope you and your beagle have a great Christmas, mine sure will . . .hopefully he won't eat any decorations this year, LOL!

- I love the magic of this - Christmas stories really become alive when there's a bond between an animal and a child, and you've done it really well! Silver is wonderfully portrayed. Something terrible? Oh no! Please update soon, I can't wait.

- Oh, wow exciting! I do hope Harry can get Severus to come round to liking Silver, but I'm also looking forward to the journey that it takes them to get there too. I'm glad Harry's all right now! I wonder, will Severus Apparate in? Or will he find a way for Harry to come out? I'm looking forward to finding out!

- I did wonder if Silver was Remus in the beginning, and I'm really glad he was! Harry's reaction was heartbreaking and so accurate, I do hope Remus can calm him down. Thank goodness Remus was able to convince Severus that he was a good wolf! Good cliffhanger, I can't wait!
Author's Response: I'm glad I got Harry down, that part was a little bit tough to write, I didn't want Harry to see like he was overreacting or something. Remus should be able to help him and it helped with the convincing that Remus couldn't lie to Severus. The next chapter's up!

- Yay! I've finally managed to get round to actually reviewing the last chapter - I swear the world was conspiring against me here. Anyway, I liked it very much and it was a great end to this Christmas fic - I especially liked the way you made Father Christmas real in the last paragraph and how Silver gets to stay and help look after Harry. I agree that Silver is a much nicer name.
Please continue this series - I especially like it because of the wind sprites, which add that extra bit of magic to the story.
Author's Response: I know the feeling, believe me. I had a dog that was part wolf once and looked a lot like Silver as I've described him. The wind sprites are some of my favorite charcaters too. I did just post a follow up to this called Snow Girl & the Sorcerer's Son and it features Silver, Severus, and Harry, of course! I loved your Christmas fic too and nominated it in the poll.

- Hahahaha! Of the imagery of Snape and Harry in the Great Hall is brilliant! And the name 'Biscuit' is absolutely inspired. Please write more, I'm interested to know why Snape is the only person who can help Harry, and of course, I want to know what happens next!

I should have explained that better in the chapter. Snape named the puppy Biscuit because that was what he happened to be looking at at the time. I'm not going to write why Snape was the only one able to change Harry back so I'll tell you here. He could have gone to McGonagall but she would have done her nut. He could have gone to Hermione but she would have moaned at him for days and proberly have told McGonagall.
Snape was the only one that Harry trusted, plus Snape owed him one.
I'm glad you like it. Chapter two should be up soon.

Author's Response: Oh thank you so much! I had actually had Harry call Snape"Dad" at the end, but another reviewer on ffnet, thought it was a little fast to do that, and I agree, o I changed it to "father".
