On the night of October 31st, when Voldemort showed up to kill Harry, he found that two of his Death Eaters were already there; traitors. That night left two boys orphaned and seeing no other option, Dumbledore placed both boys on the Dursley's doorstep. Draco and Harry grow up bonding as brothers for they're the only other person they've got to rely on. Come their year at Hogwarts, they're both sorted into Gryffindor. But Severus Snape watches them...will he be able to take them in when they need him; his godson and a boy that should have been his son?

- Lol, so I actually didn't think there was anything amiss without this chapter. There was actually a lot of intrigue and mystery about what had happened and I found it rather suspenseful because I didn't know what Snape was going to see when he got in the boys' room. It does fit in with the story just fine and it was a good chapter, I just thought you were going to explain it all later, lol.
I'm looking forward to more!

That was the only lucky think about my mis-upload...the fact that it didn't seem to change much other than to give information about what had happened. Heh, I considered it but I really wanted to write the more emotional value to this chapter and add the bit about hedwig. Thanks.

- I love that last part: "Snape felt...different." He doesn't know that's happiness yet, lol. Poor Severus...I'm sure he'll figure out what that feeling is sooner or later.
Anyways, great chapter. I love how the misconstrued wording affected Harry and Draco. They must have felt so awful when Snape yelled at them because of the books. I think that makes your Snape seem very realistic, as he didn't mind the cleaning so much, but the books really upset him and made him flip his lid.
Very nice chapter-I can't wait to read more!

Oh yay, another lovely review! :). And will he figure it out soon, he's not very experienced with this "happiness". Although it's not the major thing he's feeling...it's the starting things such as protectiveness and such.
I do try very hard to keep Snape in character, even during moments that may be more tender. And yes, he "flipped his lid" lol I love that phrasing you used, made me laugh. But you're right, it's the books that annoyed him most, the cleaness was more of a "what the?" than anything :P. Thanks again and will update soon!

- Aw, that's sad that Draco ran off. I don't think he realizes how much damage he's done to Harry, otherwise I doubt he'd have done it. I hope they find him soon because Harry really needs him.

Yeah. And you're right, he doesn't understand otherwise he certainly wouldn't have or else he'd have spoken to Harry about it, left a note etc. They really need each other, I agree, but it only it was that simple (finding him).

- Great chapter! Boy, I was a bit surprised that Harry let the whole incident go so quickly, but then again, he was so lost without his brother, I don't think he could go on being angry. Still, things might not be quite the same after this between them. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens.
Severus doesn't feel like brewing a potion?! Call 911! Pigs are flying! Lol, I loved that last part, unless you couldn't tell...

Thanks. Yeah Harry is so relieved to have Draco back that he's just glad he's okay etc, however you're right...things still need a little patching up. Harry may forgive easily but he was still hrut by it and that part won't just dissappear.

- OMG, you need to update now! That's a terrible cliffie! I'm really enjoying this story and how Harry's friends think he's crazy and I'm not entirely sure that Harry knows why he wants Snape as his father either, but it's interesting to watch him go after something this big. I can't imagine Snape saying yes this soon in the game though, so I hope poor Harry has braced himself for disappointment. :(

I will asap! Haha. Harry is trying to rationalise and put words to why he wants Snape as his father, but deep down and in all honestly, he doesn't actually have a clue. He is going after it and won't be letting go of it in a hurry.
No, if Snape said yes right now than something is surely wrong with the man. Harry has braced himself somewhat but does that mean he won't be saddened? This is personal for him and he has his heart/mind set on it so strongly; he will be affected. But then again, Severus is sure to not come out unaffected as well.

- That was powerful. I really like the guilt that Dumbledore laid on quite thickly for Severus and I love that he started to doubt when he was left alone with his own thoughts. Poor guy, he knows Dumbledore is manipulating him and I think he knows that he probably will come around anyway since Lily is involved.
Poor Harry. At least he's not too down and out.

Powerful? Wow, thanks :P. Dumbledore is indeed manipulative and it is influencing Snape as well, but there is no denying the fact that Lily is involved so Snape can't really turn away from the situation. And you're right, Harry isn't coping greatly but he's still rather determined. I'll update again soon and thanks for your review!
