About me:

On May 28th of 2002, after a lot of deliberation and thought, I became Ponytail Goddess on fanfiction.net.  Looking back, I can't help but wonder why I chose such a silly name.  Clearly, I never thought I'd grow out of my ponytail phase during my freshmen year of high school.  Oh, how things have changed...

Anyway, I guess I could tell you a few less than interesting facts about myself, such as the fact that I am a music education major or that I live in Illinois, which is known for it's unpredictable weather.  However, that's not too terribly interesting, so I will bore you no longer.

I am here to write a few good fics and my main focus as an author is creativity.  I strive to write intricate fics with highly detailed plots that have not been seen before.  I like tricking people into believing one thing when they should believe another.  I also believe that a story can be satisfying with a less than happy ending.  Not everything in life ends happily, so why should all fics end happily?  Variety is the spice of life, so I'm going to flavor my fics in different ways to please you.

    This is my favorite chapter so far, mainly because of the lush descriptions. I love the moments where you know Vernon is coming, but he's not there yet. Harry's panic was horrifically real, right down to his owl going nuts. Great job--beautifully written.

    Thank you so much. I'm happy that I succeeded in creating that fear inside of Harry.  I think that Hedwig is very protectivie of Harry, and that Vernon is very lucky that she was locked in her cage, otherwise I think that Hedwig would have pecked him!

    Okay, so I know I've never reviewed you before, but this is one of my favorite fanfics, and I just had to tell you that this is one of the most memorable fanfic quotes I've ever come across:

    "Traditional for what?" Severus was at least managing to sneer, now. "Prostitution?"

    "Er ... clubbing."

    "Muggles fight in that?" McGonagall exclaimed.

    "No, going to clubs, that means. Dance clubs."

    McGonagall smiled triumphantly at Severus. "There, you see? You really should learn to be more culturally tolerant, Severus."

    The 'culturally tolerant' part nearly laughs me to tears every single time. I love Snape's reaction to the outfit and his insinuation about the outfit being suitable for prostitution is just too funny.

    Thank you so much for creating this fanfic moment-I get the giggles whenever I think about it.

    Love the fic; thanks for posting it here! We'll definitely give it the attention it deserves!
