Desperate to escape his guilt and nightmares after the third task, Harry transforms into a hawk by accident and ends up breaking both wings and suffering partial memory loss. He is found by Snape, and while the professor nurses him back to health discovers the truth about Severus and who are really his friends and enemies at Hogwarts.

- Wonderful start! Be careful about stepping on toes though - you might want to read "The Last Gift," so that you don't inadvertantly make your story too similar. I can't wait for the next chapter!
Author's Response: Thanks, I'll skim it, but this one is something I thought up on the spur of the moment, and I don't recall any fics recently with harry as a hawk. The next chapter's up!

LOL I don't think even Snape would do that, though. Ummm....forced to help Hagrid with animal care for a month?? I dunno. I do think that Crabbe should come off better than the other two, though. He at least came back and tried to fix things.

I agree about Crabbe, he at least showed compassion, which Snape does realize even though he's furious. Thanks!

- Wonderful chappie!! And you used my idea!! YEY! I like how Harry has bird-instincts, but at the same time understands when Snape speaks and reacts to it in a semi-human way. Much fun!
Author's Response: I did! It was a great one, thanks! Yeah, its a weird sort of dichotomy, he's a hawk but has human memories, it's confusing for the poor thing. But eventually he'll get his head straightened out.
