o.O Hmmm Fate's way of having Sev accept Harry more easily or the adoptions papers/magic interfering? The pic of the child for Harry is adorable.

I just found this story, I don't understand why Draco wasn't being expelled for trying to kill Harry. Also wouldn't Harry have the ability to demand a trial against Draco?
Author's Response: thanks for reviewing! I do plan on addressing those issues a bit more eventually, but it'll take a while to get there. The simple answer is that Dumbledore believes in giving people second chances, particularly given Draco's circumstances.

I agree with the last sentence. How could a man who is punishing a boy for the sins of dead man be compassionate. I am surprised that Harry hasn't hit the depression stage truly yet or will that be coming up?
Author's Response: Thank you so much for reviewing! Harry is definitely not particularly happy right now -- he is grieving Sirius' death but has not really had any time to really do so, he is dealing with a sudden hearing loss, he has just finished off an evil dark wizard who's been after him his whole life... he's got quite a lot he's dealing with. So he's definitely having his moments, as you saw in this chapter. But he is not going to sink into a deep, clinical depression, if that's what you're looking for. Hopefully that's not disappointing.
