About me:

Hi, I'm Jan. :D I love Snape and Harry fics, and just mentor fics in general. I first started Potions and Snitches (P&S) as a safe place to find Snape & Harry gen fics without stumbling into Snape and Harry slash (aka Snarry, or HP/SS).

Fandoms that I like to read fanfiction of include: Star Trek, Star Wars, Kung Fu : The Legend Continues, Dragonball Z, Stargate SG1, Batman, Angel, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. I like Gen and Mentor fics mostly. I love hurt/comfort, angst, whump, drama, raw emotions, and vivid descriptions best.

I know how to make and edit graphics, icons, and layouts (html and css). I am a master web searcher. XD

My dreams? One day I'd like to be able to run up a mountain effortlessly, or at least easily. :) I'd like to see Potions and Snitches host every single good Snape and Harry Gen fic there ever existed. I'd like to have people who post here get 100 reviews a chapter. I'd like active-to-the-bursting challenges and contests. I want the site to be a great, fun place that readers of Snape and Harry fics loved and knew as active.

Harry Potter is involved in a potions accident which ends up with him de-aging to a foetus and implanting in the womb of Severus Snape, who is a bearer. Severus can no longer spy, to the chagrin of Albus Dumbledore, but he uses it as an opportunity to show his true self, the person he has been forced to hide for over twenty years.
And maybe, just maybe, he can save his students from the pressures of war.
Mentions of physical, emotional and sexual abuse that various characters are trying to heal from. Many characters being bashed.
I don't own Harry Potter.

    Awwwww, what a cute premise. It's interesting that Severus' DNA changed Harry too. So does that mean that Harry will come out looking like Severus and James?

    Wow, a powerful ending. I love that Snape is talking to Neville.

    "You know what power a mother’s love has now, maybe that will stop you from doing whatever it is you will surely plan." Wow such a powerful statement!

    I love Severus standing up to Dumbledore for Harry. I worry about what Dumbledore will plan now. Maybe Severus should of let him believe that Harry is dead.

    I loved it! Theo is such a great character. I wonder why Harry didn't talk to him more when they were alone. Surely they could manage to meet up privately without anyone knowing.

    But Snape, yeah he just messed things up with Harry. I hope he thinks about what Theo said and takes it to heart.

     Harry didn't talk to him more because he didn't know how to behave after what he found in the papers (that his older brother, as a child, was tortured and killed). He doesn't know if Theo knows, or if he should tell him, and how to tell him, so I think he just chose to postpone the confrontation by avoidance.

    Your Snape is spot on. Wow that he missed class. Your descriptions were wonderful to read.

    Fantastic pacing and emotions. Snape is wrecked. Harry is wrecked. They all are wrecked.

    Oh wow.. Poor Harry, Great setup though. I love that Sirius was cleared and that he decided to get help.

    Dang Dumbledore really made some bad decisions placing Harry with the Dursleys. Harry is so self-sacrificing.

    Oh wow. Harry is in dire straits. I love your Snape, he is so in character. All your characters are in character.

    Great development of plot and pace.

    The only thing I noticed that needs clarification is one more line mentioning Harry made it to the bathroom on the train to change. It was very brief.

    “Have to use the loo, so I’ll just change there,” he replied as he slid the door closed behind him, not giving them a chance to question his actions.

    Harry kept his head down as he made his way back to their carriage...

    It seems like it could use an "After changing in the loo, Harry kept his head down..."

    Other than that it was a fantastic chapter.

    I wouldn't mind Draco and Harry getting together. And I like that Charlie, Sirius, and Remus are out and in relationships.

    Yikes! Harry is in bad shape.

    I really like your version of Draco. Noisy and acting, but also obsessed with Harry as much as Harry is likely obsessed with him.

    I like that Draco and Snape have code words for each other when they talk. I wonder who came up with them.

    The only thing that seemed out of place is that Draco was wearing trainers. I think he wears loafers, Oxfords, or other school shoes with his uniform. Maybe work or dress shoes. Trainers seem so Muggle-ish. But maybe they are trainers and I don't know.

    Fantastic chapter. Great pace. Compelling emotions. Thanks for writing and sharing this!

    Wow, you either have medical training or are really good at research! I loved the medical descriptions, and Snape's thoughts and point of view. Well done.

    Poor Draco thought it was his fault. I love that they decided NOT to tell Dumbledore. Poor Sirius and Remus though, they are going to feel so guilty when they find out the extent of Harry's condition and where and when it happened.

    I'm loving your Snape, Draco and Poppy. McGonagall is very in character.

    I think the only thing I noticed that could use some improvement is some more physical descriptions of Poppy and McGonagall, and maybe Sirius if he has improved from being at St Mungoes. I had trouble visualizing them. Everyone else especially Harry had a fantastic level of detail and was easy to visualize.

    I am really enjoying this story so far! The hint about the appearance charm at 6 months is inspired. I hope they keep Harry in the hospital wing until he is better, or find a way to check up on him in a way Dumbledore won't notice. I'm sure the portraits saw Snape carrying Harry to the infirmary. I bet they might inform Dumbledore.

    Maybe Snape has a scar-reducing potion he can offer Harry later?
