I am an Eleventh Grade Student in Canada. I like Physics, Math and my Writer's Craft course.

    I wonder why Harry was in Severus's quarters to begin with. It sounds as if he got off lightly, simply having to decorate a Christmas tree.

    But I don't blame Snape. Once Harry explained that he was defending his mum's honour there wasn't a lot of trouble he could get in. Good thing he doesn't know that Lily will help him get a lighter punishment. :)

    That was cool. I'll bet that Dumbledore gave Harry the broom, Sirius is still in Azkaban and it doesn't seem like something any of the staff would do.

    I liked Snape reading the Grinch to Harry. I realized that the Grinch sounds an awful lot like Snape sometimes. It's sort of sad.

Someone knows, but they're apparently not telling. ;-) As I was writing this, I thought the Grinch sounded like Snape at times also. Glad to see I'm not the only one, even though it is sad! Awww. :D

    Awesome chapter! Madame Harlot was amusing and it was nice that Harry's found a crowd that he (sort of) fits in with. Although it will be good wen he's got some more experience and doesn't risk offending anyone with each and every sentence.

    I like that Harry was able to help out with food preparation and make some new friends. Interesting how that skill worked out. I wish he'd eat the raw meat though, he seems to want to, just won't since his mind still objects to it.

    Lily's letter was very interesting and although I think I know how Harry's father is, it will be interesting to see him find out. He shouldn't have dumped the paternity potion, for some reason I think he's going to regret it and maybe even try to brew one himself.

    Great story, I can't wait to find out what happens next!

    Author's Response: Yey!! Glad you like!! LOL yeah, poor Harry steps in it a lot. He's trying, though. And yeah, he's still got to get used to the differences in general. He's only had the one day, after all. And I agree - dumping the potion was noble, in a certain way, but kinda dumb, too. Again, glad you like! Thanks for reviewing!

    This was very interesting. I really enjoyed the clothing store in Diagon Alley. I always wondered where people like Hagrid and Flitwick could but clothes. And in the books they're always mentioning Hags and other not quite humanoid creatures. I'm can't wait to see where this goes.

    Although Harry's sort of risking it, staying in Knockturn Alley. I'd like to know more about what he is and if there are others like him. And of course how Snape fits into the picture. Is he one of those creatures to?

    Author's Response: Yey!! Glad you like!! I always sort of wondered too, and also wondered about whether the nonhuman races had any mutual identity or anything. I'll be exploring that some as the story goes on, as well as the other stuff you mentioned. (I'm not gonna tell anything now, though, that would ruin it!!) Thanks for the review!!     That was very funny and very sad. I loved reading about Snape's conversation with Lockhart. Seeing him shown up by anyone is great fun and he deserves it. Too bad Dumbledore didn't have anything of Lily. Although I'm certain that he could have contacted friends and old teachers, like Slughorn, and rounded up a few. But it was very nice of Snape to send Harry the music box and locket. I'm sure he'll treasure them.

I had a hard time getting it to sound how I wanted it to sound, but I think it came out all right. And agreed about Dumbles. But if he had, it might have lessened Snape's presents wouldn't it? And that's not a fun idea. >_<
