Gosh! I loved it, I just loved it. Every little detail. I loved Bette and her relationship with Severus. From the second part I was thinking, I hope they have a baby. Adore it am favourite-ing (really the English language requires a new verb here) it, and I'm sure I'll be rereading it in the near future.
Author's Response: Thanks so much for your kindness. I'm glad you liked it. I always try to give our Potions Master a happy ending, even if it does involve children. T

So funny! I have my suspicions as to what has happened to Harry, but I prefer to just let a story ride out and not to double guess too much. I look forward to Slytherin's reaction, should be a hoot.

I'm glad to see another chapter of this story. I have a few theories about what is happening, butI prefer to just read. It's very compelling, Thanks.
Petunia Dursley is cleaning the attic and finds a previously unknown copy of Lily’s will. Ecstatic at her discovery, she promptly abandons her burdensome nephew, along with Lily’s will, on the doorstep of her childhood nemesis (aka, Severus Snape). ***SEQUEL "Lily's Last Wish" NOW POSTED***

Hi,
I just started reading your story and I'm enjoying it a lot. I suspect that maybe Harry really is Snape's nephew. But I'll wait for the reveal!

Gosh, I'm sorry to hear about your little boy, what a shock. I hope he is well on the road to a full recovery, it sounds like it was a bad break.
I am really enjoying your story a lot. Harry's resentment and distrust is really real and not over the top. And I like a more reluctant Snape. I'm very much looking forward to new chapters.
Rather than allowing Harry to stay at Diagon Alley after he blew up Aunt Marge, the Ministry sends Harry back to the Dursleys. Harry returns to school after a terrible summer, to find that he's not the only one with this kind of secret. A student has been killed by his family. New screening measures are put into place by the Ministry: Every student must be given a medical exam and interview to look for child abuse. With Dumbledore facing an inquiry, Snape is entrusted with the task of making sure EVERYONE receives one.

I'm enjoying this story so much. But I wonder how well Harry will take the news when it eventually comes out that Snape is his father. Snape for the moment seems to be treating his relationship as if he was just a donor. I like a slow build in a story, so I appreciate that a lot.

Yay, new chapter. I am dying of curiosity to know the details of how Snap became Harry's Dad and of course what will happen when he finds out.

I'm really enjoying your story a lot. I love a Slytherin Harry, especially when he has a friendship with Draco. I also love it when Hermione and Draco interact. The possession angle is really fascinating and I like how Snape has been warned of Legimency, in case Voldemort could transfer the possession. I'm curious to know about Harry's injuries because with the possession it might not be the Durselys or maybe the Dursleys had good reason... I look forward to your next part.
Author's Response: Thank you, I'm glad you're enjoying the story! Yes, Harry's injuries and his being possessed are definitely connected... more will be revealed soon! Thank you for letting me know what you think!

Oh, exciting. I did think maybe the Dursleys had tried an exorcism or something like that. Catholicism isn't so popular in England, but desperate times... that would be fairly traumatising. Poor Harry I hope he can return to his friends soon, if only for a little while.
Author's Response: I'd LOVE to give a detailed answer, but that would mean giving major spoilers... but I think it's safe to say that Harry has a lot of trauma to work through. Thank you for reviewing!

I've finally had time to catch up with your story. I must say I did give myself a few brownie points for guessing correctly, but I am glad you didn't confirm or deny - I'd rather be surprised. I just like to share my thoughts. You can congratulate yourself for all that foreshadowing you did!
I am finding Petunia and Vernon so compelling in your story. It's a horrible mix of despising them and feeling sorry for them. I am really feeling Petunia's conflict between fear of Harry and an instinctive desire to not let a child be injured. I am half reminded of Carole Burnette in Annie, when the kidnapping plot goes to far for her loose code of ethics and she turns on her co-conspiritors. I like their complexity, I enjoy feeling conflicted about how I feel about a character and it makes them three dimensional. They are often characters that are portrayed as having only one side, so it makes a compelling change.
It's an exciting and fresh take on the Slytherin Harry concept. I can't wait for the next part.
Author's Response: Thank you! Yes, I was really surprised when you guessed correctly about the exorcism (and it was very tempting to give spoilers just then, but I'm glad I resisted!) Thank you so much for the feedback on Vernon and Petunia. The Dursleys are great fun when they're written with a slightly ironic undertone, like in the books, and I found it very challenging to make their fears and prejudices "real" and understandable. I'm so glad you think it worked! Thank you very much for the feedback, I hope you'll continue to enjoy the story!
