    Whoa...a cliffe. It took a while for the update, but it was worth the wait. I hate to tell Harry, I am inclined to think that the baby is his, especially after the comment from the snake. But I am really curious about the circumstances and can't wait for more. Wonderful job and please update soon.

    I just read all nine chapters in one go, and I must say that I love this story. You do have a few basic comma issues and some typos, but those are easily overlooked by the overall quality of your writing.

    Both of your OCs are realistic and I love how Harry sees Severus as a human being. This really is a very touching story and I can't wait for more. I'll be right there with Kai, pestering you to update.

    Author's Response: Thanks so much!  I really am excited about this story.  I'm working on chapter 2 right now.   I've always wanted to explore Severus' relationship with his mother.  I'm sure she's the reason he's so snarky, at least if I can tell by how she's making me write her now.

    I couldn't help but chuckle when Severus kept spelling out his conversation with Albus. I think we're all guilty of talking like that in front of little ones. My heart just broke for Harry when he asked when he was going home. And I think Severus just realized he's going to have Harry for a but more than 10 hours. Once again, wonderful chapter and I can't wait to see what happens next.

    Poor Severus, despite what he tries to convince himself, he can't help but care for Harry. No doubt Harry will see Severus' actions in a much different light than Severus himself. Colours and a DRAGON...and how often did Petunia hold Harry when he was scared? Harry feels secure enough with Severus already to fall asleep in his arms. Severus is going to be a much better guardian than he cares to admit.

    Yes!  I always thought Severus Snape as a dad would be such a push over.  Oh, there would be grumbling and grousing, but he would be so squishy on the inside.  I always see him as a man who has had little love in his life. Even though Eileen loves him, her way of showing it is his way also, with harsh words that mask tender feelings.  A young Harry, with his great capacity to love and his real need to give an receive it would be the best thing for such a man. 

    As for the dragon plushie, I decided that with all that happened to him that day, he really needed something to confide to and to hug.  That's why police officers (at least in this state) carry stuffed animals in the trunks of their cars. They hand them out in emergency situations to children who need it.  The toys do seem to calm them down, and give them something to hug when they are frightened.

    Petunia.  Don't get me started on that woman.  She's as bad as Umbridge and dealt more damage to both Harry and Dudley than Umbridge ever could.

    I nearly wanted to cry at the end. As you know, I can really identify with what Severus is going through. And Harry...could he be any sweeter...giving Severus his dragon so he wouldn't be scared? Anyway, I loved this chapter. I need more. :D

    What a great chapter. I was so glad to see you pick up this story again. I hope Albus can do something about Skeeter, because she can really make things difficult on all of them. I love that Eileen is getting her powers back. Even without them, she is a force to be reckoned with. And that last scene...Awww...

    Aw, thanks.  I had always intended to get back to this story, I just had to finish some other projects first. 

    I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter.  Skeeter does have a tendency to annoy.
