Christmas break is a lonely time for an eleven-year-old with no friends to spend it with; however, on a walk, he manages to find one in the strangest way. Add to that a Potions Master unaccustomed to silence and it seems three very different beings are in the perfect place at the perfect time to help each other when they need it most, bringing everything together. - Small error here, you had Harry flying on his broom prior in the summer. He also mentioned brushing up on his flying (his firebolt getting exercise I think you phrased it as) prior to this chapter as well. A small inconsistency, but a noticeable one, no less.
After getting sixteen year old Harry out of jail over the summer, Severus Snape must deal with a number of things, including: trying to maintain a relationship with his future wife, building a relationship with his future step-son, and trying to figure out the ever-changing enigma that is Harry Potter.

- Oh my goodness! So much angst! I'm slightly angry at Jo now, and Sam needs to stop being a prat. I'm really glad Snape is finally seeing Harry for who he is and what he needs. Very well written, and I can't wait for the next chapter!
