When he goes to Hogwarts and finds out that his look alike is Severus Snape’s son, he’s determined to prove himself as Snape’s son as well, even if his brother and father don’t want to have anything to do with him. - If I had a computer, I'd review every chapter! But having only a SLOW phone, I'm saving it all for the end. -- WOW!!! This is a wonderfully evocative, very powerful story, and I agonized with Harry every step of the way, feeling his sense of isolation, his determination, his frustration, his humiliation, his jubilation, and finally his celebration! He really did receive the best gift(s) of all, and I'm so happy for him. And Severus. And Calen, who might not be as big a git as he often seems, even if gittiness tends to run in the family! Absolutely amazing overall! Well done!

- A wizard-space stocking! Wonderful! I always used a knee sock to maximize my plunder potential; what I would have given for genuine wizard space-- hee! Very adorable Christmas story! And how sweet of Harry to want the gift giving to be equitable! Love it!

In the Wizarding World, Father Christmas exists. Of course, not all witches and wizards know this, because only children who would not receive presents otherwise are given a present from the man himself. But when something unexpected comes up Christmas Eve, he’s in the market for two substitute Santas to tag-team his complicated route. Who better to ask than the boy whose name has been on his list almost ten years running, and the man who has forgotten what Christmas once meant for him? Either Father Christmas is crazy to put Harry Potter and Severus Snape on the same team, or he knows something they don’t. One way or another, it’s going to be one heck of a gamble if he wants all the gifts delivered on time. Entrant in 2013 Holiday Fic Fest.

- Loved Ron's story-- just wonderful! And then there's Hermione, who might not believe in Father Christmas, but she absolutely believes in her ability to solve other people's problems! But Snape... This chapter could have been entitled, "For Whom the Bell Tolls"! Hee!

- The scene between Atlas and Snape... I kept hearing the tune of "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer" playing in the background! Also, I love the detail you put into explaining how the book and deliveries are supposed to work-- tho' I suspect it won't all go smoothly as clockwork!

- Despite the disaster, I like the way they perform as a genuine team to help Rain and in extricating the sleigh. An unlikely team, as they started out, but Snape and Harry are finding a rhythm now. Nice!

- Awww! The scene with Rain was neat, but I thought the most touching part was the interaction between Snape and Sarah. Gotta say it again-- Awwwww!!! Sweet! :-)

- Ha! Snape's reputation would be blown sky high if the students found out what he was doing, but can you imagine if the news were to hit the Daily Prophet?!! Great chapter, and I was seriously afraid you'd forgotten Rain when they went straight back to Father Christmas. So glad she wasn't really abandoned after all!

- Also meant to add, Harry's sacrifice was with the true spirit of Christmas, something we don't hear a lot about nowadays with the holiday's commercial focus on total self-gratification. Wonderful reminder through Harry of what Christmas should emphasize-- the spirit of giving, rather than receiving.
Author's Response: I am glad you think so. I did that so that Snape could see Harry for who he was, but also see the spirit of Christmas. Nicely worded, shadow!
