- Actually, I admire Axle for asking Harry directly if he did it. Tho' Harry thought Axle had some nerve, I'd put a different interpretation on it. Axle wasn't willing to blindly believe rumors-- he gave Harry the chance to speak for himself, and that says a lot for Axle's character. Over 15 years ago, a supposed friend told lies about me to people, and not a single one of them ever asked me for my side of the situation. Instead, they literally turned their backs on me, choosing to believe the groundless lies. That was one of the most devastating experiences of my life, and I can relate so well to how Harry must feel. I just wish he could see Axle's query in a different light. Great story so far! :-)

Thanks. Yeah, I actually had the same thing happen to me, twice. Someone like once and the other time someone was mistaken and said something that wasn't true about me, and both times my best friend believed them without even asking me my side of it. It caused HUGE problems. That's exactly why Axle did ask. He was trying to make up his own mind, just like Ernie was.

- Kissing Trelawney!!! Ha! Definitely an image I'd rather not dwell on! Exciting dueling sequences, and I was so glad Harry didn't forget his moonfruit... Or that nobody else had either stolen it or piusonef it sitting there in his room. (My imagination was working overtime!)

- Truly loved your in-depth descriptions of Beauxbatons, Durmstrang, and Boden. The pics were beautiful! Also loved Axle's mum, and his dad was truly surprising, and I never would've guessed! What really struck me about the visits to other schools was the intricacy with which you had described the cultural differences between the different sets of students. Truly amazing!

- Loved this chapter! Not lots of detailed action, but tons of down time introspection on Harry's part, with Remus providing a comforting anchor and thoughtful sounding board for Harry. Especially loved Luna's contributions to the journalistic fray! It'll be interesting to see how Harry's future relationships with Snape and Draco play out, once he returns to Hogwarts... 😉

- I actually admire Axle for asking if Harry did it--he at least tried to learn Harry's side of the story, unlike so many others (staff & students alike) who made false assumptions. I've had the experience of having someone spread false claims about me, and NOBODY she told ever asked for my side of the story. People who knew me better and heard me tell what she'd accused me of said, "But you'd never do something like that!" So, I learned a valuable lesson: Always try to learn both sides! Axle is very fair minded, but Harry misinterpreted why he asked the question. Can't blame him, really, after everything he's been through, but still... We can all learn from Axle! 😊

- I FINALLY made it all the way to the end!!! (I'd read the earlier chapters multiple times, but today I read the final chapter for the first time.) I really enjoyed your very unique story, and I know I'll return to it again in the future. Axle became one of my favorite characters, and your way of blending him into Hogwarts and with Harry's friends made me smile. (I know from experience how challenging it is to be the new kid in school, although the other students from Biden might help ease the transition, since they're all in the same boat.) Glad to see Harry and Ginny together by the end, too. But my best smiles are going to Severus, Harry, and Draco as a family. 🤗 Thank you for a terrific read!

Being sent to stay in a psychiatric ward at St. Mungo’s isn’t exactly the most enjoyable way to spend a summer, so naturally, Harry’s pretty angry when he finds out that’s his destination, regardless of whether or not it might be good for him. Facing a full summer of being cut off from the Order’s plans, Harry’s even taken to envying Snape, because at least Snape knows what is going on. But when Harry arrives at St. Mungo’s and discovers that a fire has changed his destination from the teen ward to the adult ward, everything is turned upside down. Enter his roommate - suicidal, depressed, and none other than Severus Snape. They are both willing to bet that their summer will be a total disaster, and maybe it will be, but even the surest of gamblers are not always right.
