- Love Harry's chatter and way of seeing things! His actions (like planning to use Accio) and reactions (Dumbledore's head) are charming and true to life. Love the Charm Snape used on him at the end! Hee! Probably ALL parents would give their left arm for that one! ;-)

Lockart wipes Harry's memory. Along the way of regaining it, he gets access to a memory his magic had suppressed. Because of it, Harry is desperate not to return to the Dursleys, but Dumbledore won't listen - so Harry has to make his own escape. Come along to the bumpy ride of Harry trying to find what he wished for most in this world. Completed (11 chapters)! Severitus-ish!

- Great! An uplifting ending to a sometimes-grim story. I feel sorry for Ron and Hermione's loss of Harry, but I can see the beginning of the new, if different, friendship with Alex. If you were ever tempted to write a sequel, I'd love to see the focus shift to Alex developing a relationship with his sister. I think you could create a fascinating family dynamic, including Severus. Thanks for an intriguing read!

Hi, thanks so much for your review. I wanted to keep a relatively open ending in this story. I pulled Harry through the mud and now he's at a good place for a change - let's keep it that way ;)
I am not going to write a sequel, if someone wants to pick up the threads I'd love to give it over but I feel like other sotries are demanding my attention :)
Entry for the Winter Fic Fest as part of the series "Chills". It is the coldest December in Britain for decades. Snape is doing some Christmas shopping at Diagon Alley. But where is Harry going to celebrate the Feast? The last story in the Chills series.

- Terrific end to your series of stories. I also thought the idea of the kinship medallion was really unique, and very cool! Glad that Snape and Harry now have each other! Thanks for some very entertaining stories!
During Harry's first occlumency lesson, Professor Snape sees a bit more than he had planned. Quite a few discoveries are made, and he realizes that he doesn't really know Potter at all.

- What really stands out in your story is Snape contemplating his own behavior toward Harry after seeing how his relatives and Umbridge had treated the boy, and Snape realizing he had been nearly as bad with his cutting remarks. Many stories have Snape dealing with other factors, but ignore his own behavior. Good focus!
Author's Response: Thank you! I noticed that in some other fanfictions I've read, so I sort of wanted to somehow include that in my fanfic :)
Once, just once, he wanted to celebrate Christmas with people who did not call him "Potter" or "Boy" and accepted him as he was; with people who loved him.

- Very dramatic scene with Harry and the Bird-- so glad we get 17-year-old Harry's version of what happened after he disappeared with the Bird. That was really cool! Also, very happy that grown-up Harry still longed for a father figure and was willing to make sure he got what he wanted, AND that Severus was willing to comply. Nice story!
