About me:

I'm a huge fan of Harry Potter!

Severus Snape is my hero and favorite character by far. I have never forgiven J.K. for killing him off. I love to see him as a father figure to Harry. (Who needs James Potter? Not me!)

There are few pairings that I won't read about, but for some reason I cannot abide Ginny Weasley, unless she is a villian. I like her that way. Though that doesn't mean that I won't read fics with her as the love interest, it's just not my preference. Truth is that I adore reading and my tastes are rather eclectic, so bring on the stories, because I'm ready to review!

I have just started my first attempt at a Harry Potter fanfic and I hope that everyone will enjoy it. I welcome all constructive critism and any advice given will be noted.

Thank you for visiting my profile.

Sequel to the Definition of Home. Now back at Hogwarts, Harry balances school and his home life as he prepares to face Voldemort and learns to trust Snape's guidance. Along the way they both learn that family also means support.

I'm glad that Harry and Severus' Christmas celebration went so well and hope that they will have many more to come. With luck, Harry won't lose as much as Severus fears, despite the location of the horcrux...

I wonder if the bee was deliberately planted or merely a terrible coincendence? I do hope that Harry will be alright...

It's rather ironic that by using Harry's blood to resurrect himself that Voldemort opened up a path to his own destruction. I hope that Harry will make it through this without losing any of his motor skills or mental faculties. It's already clear that he has retained much of who he was, which is a positive sign.

Oh dear....I wonder what that Skeeter woman will write in her article? Will she be honest and truthful or will she skew the truth in her usual dramatic fashion?

I know that it is very difficult for a boy Harry's age to open up to anyone about issues that he is having, but I do hope that he will tell Severus of any issues resulting from the removal of the horcrux. If he doesn't say anything, Severus won't be able to help him resolve the issues. It is good that other than word association issues, the loss of certain memories, and his problems with math related subjects he has few obvious problems. It's a miracle that he is able to function at all. I have high hopes that the majority of the problems he does have will fade with time and work. I know that Severus will do whatever he can to help his child succeed!

I really think that Harry needed a chance to really say goodbye to his parents. A part of him will always wonder what he missed not having them, but at least now he has his father and a good life. I know that he will be happy.

Poor Rita! -snickers- It's about time that someone helped her learn a lesson. She was foolish to think that she would be able to get away with her spying on Harry with Severus around to protect him. I really liked the little curse that Severus came up with as her punishment and let us not forget all the lawsuits that she will be facing.... :D

    Great story!

Harry writes a letter to Severus trying to express how grateful he is that Severus adopted him and gave him a home and family. Just a little fic I wrote for Father's Day, inspired by hpfanficfan's request for a Snape & Harry Father's Day fic. Set in the Broken Wings universe.

That was incredibly sweet. I have a feeling that the letter meant far more to Severus than any other gift would have.

Severus tells how his life took a very different path because he had two best friends-one was Lily and the other a collie. Severus-centric, will have Harry in later chapters.Features loyal and fierce Lily! AU!SS/LE

It's really hard to lose an old friend and faithful companion. Pets have a special way of worming their ways into your heart and it hurts terribly when they die.

Author's Response: They sure do! Every pet I've owned holds a special place in my heart and in my photo album.

That cinama manager really over-reacted, didn't he? It would have served him right if Gabriel had bitten him. In truth, he should count his lucky stars that Severus' mother didn't decide to press battery charges against him for striking her child, which was totally uncalled for. I don't think that it is right that the children and their parents were forced to pay back the theater for the lost revenue either. It's not their fault that the other patrons were so stupid as to not recognize a pet dog. Besides, I'm not sure that Gabriel was the real reason they wanted their money back...

Title: Chapter 3: Of Candles and Ouija Boards 25 Jun 2010
Reviewer: silverstargirl (Signed)
Severus and Lily ought to have known better than to deal with a substance they were unfamiliar with alone. They are extremely lucky that they didn't get hurt worse. It's too bad really that they allowed themselves to be taunted into making the candles in the first place. I wonder what would have happened if they had told either of their parents about Petunia's 'request'?

Author's Response: Yes, what they did was foolish, but I know kids who have done the same.   Lily did tell her mum about how Petunia made them make candles and she got in trouble as well.  Plus, the recipe itself should have told them exactly how to melt the wax and to watch it closely. When my friend's kid bought a candle making kit once, it never said how to melt the wax or that wax has a flashpoint.  it's stuff like that which causes accidents too.

Title: Chapter 4: Not Without My Dog! 28 Jun 2010

It's very clear that the one boy was trying to psych Severus out, because he knew that Gabriel was the superior dog. I'm glad that Lily and Eileen were able to keep Severus from getting himself disqualified because of that little pissant.

I'm glad that Dumbledore was amenable to Severus bringing Gabe to school with him. It would have broken Severus' heart to be separated from his familiar.

    Author's Response:

You are right and he certainly needed them, otherwise he might not have gotten to compete.  Oh yes it would have.  So now everyone's happy.

    And the next chappie's up!
