Sequel to the Definition of Home. Now back at Hogwarts, Harry balances school and his home life as he prepares to face Voldemort and learns to trust Snape's guidance. Along the way they both learn that family also means support.

I know that it is very difficult for a boy Harry's age to open up to anyone about issues that he is having, but I do hope that he will tell Severus of any issues resulting from the removal of the horcrux. If he doesn't say anything, Severus won't be able to help him resolve the issues. It is good that other than word association issues, the loss of certain memories, and his problems with math related subjects he has few obvious problems. It's a miracle that he is able to function at all. I have high hopes that the majority of the problems he does have will fade with time and work. I know that Severus will do whatever he can to help his child succeed!
Poor Rita! -snickers- It's about time that someone helped her learn a lesson. She was foolish to think that she would be able to get away with her spying on Harry with Severus around to protect him. I really liked the little curse that Severus came up with as her punishment and let us not forget all the lawsuits that she will be facing.... :D Great story! Harry writes a letter to Severus trying to express how grateful he is that Severus adopted him and gave him a home and family. Just a little fic I wrote for Father's Day, inspired by hpfanficfan's request for a Snape & Harry Father's Day fic. Set in the Broken Wings universe.

Author's Response: They sure do! Every pet I've owned holds a special place in my heart and in my photo album.
Author's Response: Yes, what they did was foolish, but I know kids who have done the same. Lily did tell her mum about how Petunia made them make candles and she got in trouble as well. Plus, the recipe itself should have told them exactly how to melt the wax and to watch it closely. When my friend's kid bought a candle making kit once, it never said how to melt the wax or that wax has a flashpoint. it's stuff like that which causes accidents too.
I'm glad that Dumbledore was amenable to Severus bringing Gabe to school with him. It would have broken Severus' heart to be separated from his familiar. Author's Response: You are right and he certainly needed them, otherwise he might not have gotten to compete. Oh yes it would have. So now everyone's happy. And the next chappie's up! |
