 university student...gonna be a teacher one day (of history and english language). 22 years old, 4 younger siblings (no, there is never peace in our house... but I love them all):). Following the death of Sirius, Harry isn't sure what to make of the sudden appearance of a six-year-old boy. The pair form a bond, unaware they're half-brothers, and Harry decides to take the boy to Hogwarts and hide him there. To aide the boy's education, Harry anonymously exchanges letters with Snape.

A story of a how a young boy becomes a father-figure to another while their own father is oblivious of their biological existence. But can sixteen-year-old Harry give what he himself has not gained? Can he go an entire year without being discovered? Just how far will Severus go to find the writer of those letters...Or are some things best left unknown?

    the chapter is great...and I WANT MORE :)) seriously, I have been following this story since its very beginning and I have to admit I almost lost hope that it would ever be updated again...and now I checked P&S after an unplanned week`s absence and WOW, an update :) this is one of my most favourite stories ever, so I just hope for another update. The wait was long, but it was worth it.

    this is a wonderful story:) though I wanted to ask - have you had it posted somewehere previously? i am only asking because it is eerily familiar to me, as if I have read it before...

    Yes I have.  I originally posted this story in 2009 under the penname Imablack on FFNet. The original date tag is still there. There have been at least three attempts to plagiarize my story, one of which was on this site, but they were removed.  I assure you...I AM the original author.

    I'm apologise if I came off snappish. But dealing with plagiarisers has been a pain.  There have been three prove-able incidences that I'm aware of. I half-way expect someone to accuse me of plagiarising my own work. Once again, I'm sorry and hope you enjoy the rest of the story.

    I generally like the story, I think you have captured the characters feelings very well, the plot is good too:). However, it feels a little... "unfinished", for the lack of better word. Some moments seem too hurried to me, unnaturaly so (like Harrys confession of Dursleys treatment of him and also the very end). There are places that felt like wonderful summary of a wonderful story, but not the story itself. I think it needs a little more work but the plot is good:)

    Author's Response: I completely agree and I am so glad that you liked it. I am waiting for my beta to read over it and polish things up and once she's done I'm going to have a better idea of where to improve certain scenes and stuff. I do intend to go back and "fix" this story up a bit. It is in it's raw form at the moment. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing.     wonderful beginning:) i felt that Harrys transition into trusting Severus might have been a little too quick, but overly I loved it. I want another chapter...and just to warn you, twoshot wont do...I wont a full story:) pleeease:):):)

    Author's Response: Lol we'll see, otherwise part two might be extrememly long. Oh and it seems like Harry was trusting Severus , and he does to an extent. But seeing as he doesnt trust any male adult not to hurt him, thats going to come into the light. In a sense he trusted Sev to get him out of there but he doesnt trust him not to hurt him. He knows the professor hates him, so hes scared of him..does that make sense? lol
