Author's Response: Thank you very much! I kept turning over the haunted music box idea in my mind for a year and a half before I finally wrote this. Originally, I'd thought of Harry giving an antique music box to Ginny that had some vengeful spirit attached to it, BUT how would Snape fit into the story?? Eventually, I decided on the Snape/Lily angle, and the story practically wrote itself. Many thanks for reading and reviewing!
Harry turns to magic in an attempt to be free of his nightmares. He has found a ritual to summon the spirits of those whom one has wronged so that one may atone. But nothing involving the Boy-Who-Lived is ever that simple.
